Some of you make those cars out like they are jet powered land rockets or something. They are faster than our cars. DUH they are .9l bigger. theres no replacement for displacement. Get the 351 out of the 95 cobra. Those things would show up some LS1's wouldnt they?. This is almost like comparing a v6 stang to a v8 stang in displacment. The difference in displacement between 5.7 and 4.6 is 69ci. Add that to 350 and u got 419. If u raced a stang with a 6.6l 420ci engine and the Ls1, they would complain about the displacement difference after they got their ass handed to them(just like they do to us).

you have some points i suppose. but try not to read too much into it. all the years the f-bodies owned mustangs were more than made up for with the 03-04 cobras. they were THE BOTTOM LINE.

I wouldn't go that far....GM is making well over 300hp with their 4.6 OHC motor in the Caddy.

The Cobra's are indeed badass. They're so easy to mod it's not funny. A stock Cobra has it's hands full with a lid/exhaust LS1 though. You forget it doesn't take our cars 500+hp to run 11's, just some bolt ons, gear, and sticky tires.

i have got to know when you say mods do you mean bolt ons cause i find that hard to beleive cause i know a guy with a 4 somthin stroker kit it is the big stroker kit for a 351 and he also has a 175 shot and is just putin 650 to the ground just think 650 is alot.

i agree. i love and respect ls1's. i go back and forth on whether i should buy one. when it was stock i lost to some dude in an ls1 with lid, exhaust, gears and i think a bigger tb. but i raced him again with just a k&n fipk and i beat him pretty good.

You have a hell of a good running foxbody then. It takes the guys around here A LOT to run with my mild bolt on car.

BTW, get one...but I'm bias.

This kid is quite the mechanic, building a 650 Mustang at 17 years.

Why do you feel you have to lie to be tight? If that really is your car in your avatar then you would have automatically gotten re4specty for having a nice 5.0 here. You shouldn't have gone this far and tr5ied to lie about crap on your car.

Saying that Chevy's suck is a very ignorant comment to make.

Ok I just need to reply to alot of posts on here because I read alot of dumb ****. First of all the kid that started this post you are ****ing retarded. Second of all blown 5.0 under 10 lbs of boost not a chance vs. bonestock ls1 unles heads, cam, etc. Third blown 5.0 no matter what pounds of boost, not a chance against a blown ls1. Fourth no 95 cobra or even 01 cobra will beat a bonestock ls1 in the quarter. Only cobra that will is the 03 cobra which I respect. But it doesnt take much mods for ls1's to run 11's I just don't understand y someone would say the sucks? Lid/cat-back,headers,ls6 manifold, 4.10 gears, a cam and some tires and ur running high 11's, how does that suck!

Then you have one of the best running fox bodies on the planet. Or the LS1 driver couldnt handle his car... My 5-oh (which some of you guys will remember) had full bolt ons, gears, shifter, and a decent cam, was still not even a match for bolt on LS1's.... However, i did beat a few that couldnt drive, mainly cuz of the gears.

Ya know, it must be really nice to be sub- 20 years old and be able to have this stuff. Some kids say " i pay for all my stuff and i work for it" I'd like to see some of you kiddies pay for your own cars and insurance and gas for that matter and we'd have a lot more toyota corollas runnin the road. Grrrrr just a rant because i work 55 hours a week and can't afford some of the cars these dicks are driving.

I do work and pay for all my stuff...and my mods. My car is in my dads name, so $600 a year for full coverage insurance on my TA. w00t. Hell, I didn't even give but around $10k for the car with 65k on it. On my '97 Maxima, which is in my name, it's $125 a month now for liability only. Irony at it's finest.

ok...timeslip...and you are in which lane??? By the way, if you raced a blown LS1 you would not have pulled him by 3 cars unless he cut a 1.XXX r/t and you were almost perfect off the tree. Son you need to realize that when LS1's go FI'd, they are murderous. A mere 8psi STS turbo kit puts 550hp to the ground with no mods and runs 11's. Don't ever claim you can take a Blown LS1. The mildly blown cars run low 11's. We can run low, low 12's with a mild cam, stock heads and some bolt-ons. Add a set of heads and maybe a 125 shot...low 11's. too easy and in a full bodied f-car.

yeah right, i dont think so. i've seen a blown SS run 12.8.

kid, im gonna say it one more time, for all you slow guys ( chebbys) your ls1 w/ exhaust is not gonna give a stock 03 cobra any challenge, ANY.
