hey guys i have a question about getting a eaton thats been ported. guy on this sit did the job himself, he says he has exprience doing porting. i know its good for a quick cheap hp gain but what else do i need to do to the car after i install the ported eaton. do i need bigger injectors, and bigger throtle body? i'm not trying to knock the guy selling it i just need to know what am i getting myself into. thanks

meh, i would be cautious..... My friend had his blower ported by Steigmyer and he put down some nice numbers...but with a ported eaton your going to need more cooling mods along with the other goodies

i would be leery about a self porting job, seen some people get no gain out of them. but depending on what your looking to do you will need injectors, and a bap.

Yeah I wouldn't touch it unless you saw what the car can do before and after it. I trust steig. with mine... it performs well.

what is wrong with a home port if you do it the same way stiege does it? No experience is needend to know how to port a blower its not hard

Z06... it is very hard actually... most people that port them see little or no gain... They either port it to much, or not enough.
That's why I said if you can see the gains he had with it, then that's fine - but if not i would only go to someone that has really perfected the process... like steig.
Question is, is how does steig do it? lol.. how much does he port? They have really done a good job with it.

well people port it not enough because they dont want to take out alot but I do agree that if you dont do it the right way that you can lose of gain. some people just want to test and see but its not like its a KB or a Whipple lol

 thats my port job I didnt take much out because I was testing it out and see if would work and that way I can go back and take more out lol

you didn't take anythign out at all hardly. stegie takes a big chunk out of the back area and widens that v by alot

I know more came out than u think! but I am going to buy a accufab tb and finish porting it like a steig. what do u think? you think that will up my hp?
