Hey guys,

I was just wondering what you guys use when drying your stang.  Right now I am using this chamois like towel and it seems like it takes for ever to get my car dry.

Thanks

I use large microfiber towels. Juztang- www.obsessivedetail.com  has them. Very nice, very large towels. You can dry a mustang with one.

I use only waffle-weave microfibers. My favorite is the Mothers, but I've got some boutique ones as well that are very nice. Korean-made are best.

Waffle-weave microfiber is much safer than a chamois or chamois-like product as it's more forgiving of any debris that may find its way between the towel and the finish, and it provides low-drag absorbency for easy drying.

I carry some high quality 70/30 grade microfiber towels.  My Amazing Dryer is excellent for drying and if you want a towel that is smaller than can be used for drying or buffing off product the Ultra Premium is the way to go.  http://www.obsessivedetail.com/microfibers.html

Hey guys,

THanks for the info.  Jutzstang, you will soon be getting an order from me for some of your products.

Cooter-What microfiber towel do you use?  I saw that there are a few that Jutzstang offers.

Thanks,

Juztang,

You really should consider carrying the waffle-weave drying towels -- maybe it's just me, but I find them much easier to dry with than the dual-nap towels.

I carried the waffle weaves for quite a while, everyone preferred my drying towel over the waffle weave. They just didn't sell very good.  I use both and I think they dry about the same.

Juz,

with the towels that you carry, after i start to dry my car, do i need to wring out the towel like a chamois, or can i just keep drying and not leave any streaks?

THanks

I wring them out when they start getting too wet. Most of the time when I dry I use one towel to do the first wipe and another to do the final wipe, you won't get any streaks this way. My Amazing Dryer works great for drying, you can do a whole car with it.  It is super thick too!

You're not wierd - thats the natural way to dry a car, and of course much more fun

I use a large m/f first and ring it out frequently.  Then I use a clean & dry m/f with the detail spray for the final wipe to get rid of any water streaks.

For 15 years I've been using an Absorber without any problems.  And on my Camry winter beater, I use a California water blade followed up with an Absorber.

I use the absorber as well and follow it up with a standard microfiber to remove streaks.

Even on fresh pavement, you are kicking up dust and dirt - then taking a microfiber cloth and scrubbing it into your paint. I would never do that....

It sounds like wax is on your chamois (using cheap wax...t'll just wipe off and collect on your drying towels and then just smear/push water around rather than obsorb). I'd almost guarentee that is your problem.

The Absorber, FTW!  I need to get a M/F though to get the drips and what not.

We just came out with a Water Devourer that has been VERY popular.  I can dry my F-150 with one.
