Ok well as some of u know....I had a terrible tragety with hydroplaning the other day so now I am in the market for new tires.
I really want a summer tire for the performance but I live in Auburn which would probably only see ice 2 days out of the year but my dad is worried. Still I know I can get a lot better performing tire if it were strictly a summer tire.  My main concern is hydroplaning resistance/water traction and then second treadwear......my sumitomo's that I am replacing have only been on my car for 15 months.....that really gets expensive.

any suggestions.....I was looking into kumho's or toyo's or maybe nitto 555's

I have kumho's on mine and have only had one problem with hydroplaning.. it was right after a stop sign and i was at 35mph when i switched to second (automatic) and i spun out... freaked me out but it was really really bad outside that day.. Also to check to make sure they were alright i went to a parking lot when it was raining and they are all good, just that one incident.

i dont know if that helps but..

I'd recommend the Khumo 711's over the 712 Ecsta Supras for normal crap southern weather driving.

I've run both, the 712's are a better performance tire, but the 711's are less prone to hydroplaning. I've never had any real issues with either one, I plan to run 712's after the T1R's on mine crap out. The Toyo's are just too expensive, and I've had excellent luck with the Khumos in the past.

They are Ecsta 711's look at the link, the 2nd one on the list.

The Ecsta Supra 712 are the last one on the list.

I was just shopping, I think I'm gonna roll with the Kumho Ecsta MX, they're the only ones that run in the sizes I need.

Well;
A.) October 20th, you won't need tires, cuz you'll be sitting at home watching Auburn get smoked by LSU
2.) I live in Louisiana, so yes they will be fine in the rain, believe me, I drive in it almost every day, and I've run several sets of kumho's and recommend them to everyone that wants a good tire at a decent price.
D.) Don't ever question me! lol

well the 20th i will actually probably be in louisianna yellin Kodi to get out on the field and kick LSU's ass since cox cant tell when there is no coverage versus triple

k well thanks then I will prolly go with the 711's or 712's or maybe the Mx's cause I really liked those too...I will just take my time if its cold and save my wild side for the summer
thanks man
