08StangGT -> 08 GT exhaust (9/20/2007 11:20:40 PM)

Ok...So I just got my 08 GT.  I like the way the factory exhaust is, but its still not the real muscle car sound I am looking for.  I am looking at the 3" magnapak item # 16674 and the clamp on tru-x pipe item # 15485.  My questions are, will this give me that real muscle car sound when it is at idle and also when it is moving.  Will I still be using my factory cats with the x pipe, and most importantly will this setup work with going from 2.5" to 3" in piping.  Im looking to have this as easy as possible to do.  I did the full exhaust on my old which was a eclipse gts and that was a pain in the ass install.

I have a similar question. I am picking up my 08 as soon as it gets off the transfer truck next week, and looking to get a nice sounding exhaust. I had a magnaflow on my old z28 and loved the sound. I want something thats going to sound good, and is just a little louder than stock. I dont want soemthing that drones on when I'm driving on the highway and invades the cabin. Mr. Magnaflow rep, could you give me some suggestions and some pricing? Thanks.

I would recommend our cat-back system for what you’re looking for. It can be seen in the link below. The pricing on that page is just MSRP because we don't sell direct. If you use the dealer locator on the same page you will find better pricing. You may get a little drone with this system but I don't think it's too bad at all. Nothing that will drive you out of the car.

We also offer an axle-back system which will be quieter inside and out but will not net you as much of a power increase as the cat-back. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for your interest in Magnaflow.
