My local dealer is converting GTs into shelby gt350's and assraping the public an extra nine grand for the conversion plus the ADM. Does this mean they're done with factory GT350's for the 08 model year? The 08 brochure doesn't mention them. p.s. one of the GTs they converted was an automatic
also, I see CS6 mentioned in the subforum description...what's that, a Cali Special?
I am guessing the dealer's "GT 350" is just advertising Shelby GTs as Shelby GT350s - not the same thing, as there is no such thing as the latter. Ford owns the rights to "GT350" as a car moniker. If you haven't heard . . . Shelby takes a regular GT and adds $8,000 of stuff to it to make a Shelby GT. That is the "ass raping" you are talking about in terms of price, but it is different than an ADM.
CS6 is a Shelby performance and appearance kit that you get from the Shelby factory to mod your V6 Mustang. Do a search for more info.

It's a poser, no such thing other then decals. Ford will probably come out with the Bullit information later this year. If they come out with a GT350 it will probably be on the next generation Mustang to increase sells and intrest for the 09/10 models. Anyways I'll be going to Shelby in Vegas for the tour and a 1 on 1 with their finance people about the SS pkg. this Fri. and I'll pick their brain a bit about upcoming Models in the near future.

unfortunately, some salesmen call the new Shelby GT a 350 GT! The Shelby GT features most of the mods you'd want on a GT, except the supercharger. The high demand keeps the markup at over $10,000, so you end up with them wanting $50K for a $40K car! Here's the sticker you'll see if the front window of most Shelby GT's. And don't forget the $1000 gas guzzler tax!
Still seeing a lot of misinformed writing here. Shelby GT's are available in many areas at or below MSRP. I purchased mine below MSRP and did not pay the guzzler tax. Shelby GT's are not GT-350's - I don't believe there has been a true, non-poser Shelby GT-350 produced since 1972+/-. Lastly, Shelby GT's are available with superchargers as an option, either Paxton or Whipple, and Shelby installs them in Vegas. One can also have the superchargers installed by Shelby later (and therefore maintaining true Shelby status), either in Vegas or at Shelby's (soon to exist) new east coast mod location, Tasca Ford in RI.
