if the rating on the cobalt ss s/c is 205hp/200tq, then i would say, NO. but then again, a crappy driver can change all that. how heavy is the cobalt? that may also play an important factor.
well there is no such thing as a 2008 cobalt ss/sc so yes LOL... but in all seriousness, they usually run mid 14-high 14's stock, some see low 14's. Get an intake/tuner combo and maybe some more bolt ons and it will be close. Stock it should go to the ss with a capable driver.

Mid 14's, I don't think so, I've seen usuallylow 15's, high 14's rare. With a simple CAI/tune, u got em though. And if he's not that good of a driver u should have him stock!

Where is IWHINE when you need him. He'llbust out his 15 second time slips and he ain't stock.

sorry i forgot you knew everything. In reality, those lsj's make about the power to the wheels that we make to the crank. They underrated that sob alot. Torque we have them considerably, but look at it this way-
ss/sc = 210ish fwhp car with high 100's in torque to low 200's, 4.05 final drive, 2990 lbs i believe.
4.0 = 180ish rwhp 210ish rwtq 3.31 final drive weighing in around 3350. Now which one do you think should be faster stock?
They trap in the high 90's. It's a VERY hard car to drive, which is why i said, "with a capable driver" but the fact of the matter is with the right driver they will go low 14's, but even usually a good driver will run mid 14's. From a roll they will walk 4.0's easily and from a dig they will start to pull away after 60-70. My advice = locker, 3.73's/4.1's, CAI/TUNE and you got a REALLY close race in the 1/4. Keep in mind guy that said iwhine was running 15's...wasn't he trapping like 107-108? he can't launch for **** (no offense) but that car is capable of mid 13's on the stock rubber with a great driver.
