I would switch the way the pins face.  So that the circles are in the middle of the car.  Then the lanyards will lay better.

Other than that AWESOME!!!!

I just installed them myself and I only had one issue with the writeup. Even with the pins holding two or three threads on the bottom they were still not high enough for the pins to clear the hood. I ended up cutting two holes to insert the nut through that end up covered by the radiator cover, put the bottom nut inside the radiator support, and tightened it down that way. Other than that everything worked out just fine, great writeup.

LOOKS AWESOME!!!

If that happens which it won't for everyone.  All you need to do it lower the stops.  I will add that to the write-up to end any more confusion.

Heres some pics. No real problems during the install, just had to be careful with the drill! No lanyards yet, my local store had to order them. I noticed that it looks like the hood is indented where the metal plate is screwed on...is this typical or do i have the screws too tight or something? Thanks.

You can kinda see the indent in the pic above.

And in this one below

Update: put on the lanyards (they look amazing) and i fixed the little depression in the hood just by taking the metal plates off, cleaning the screw holes up with a dremel slightly wider than 1/8, then replacing the metal plates and screws.

For anyone interested. I never really cared for the look of the screws that came with the hood pin kit so I decided to replace them with 1/8" stainless steel short rivets. The look is really clean and they have a lesser chance of coming loose. Of course you will need to accept that they are a more permanent solution and can't be removed as easily.

The hoods are aluminum and aluminum does not rust....

Yes it does..............  http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.iac-ltd.com/inspimag/012_CORR.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.iac-ltd.com/bimetal.htm&h=283&w=438&sz=101&hl=en&start=6&um=1&tbnid=nyPVWfNd5ZJdtM:&tbnh=82&tbnw=127&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcorroded%2Baluminum%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

All metals will eventually return to their natural form its called corrosion!

The lanyards are a seperate purchase.  You don''t have to buy them at all if you don''t want to.  It will save you like 5 bucks.
