LL is the 1st cousin of our, (my wife and I) best family friend. We lived in Spring for years and drove to the Farmer's Market over in Klein all the time. We've seen Lyle in "Old Town Spring" at the Wunche Bros. Cafe.
Small world...what do you know?
Sorry for refering you, to Dallas and, uh.. Foo Foo, Big haired ladies...Better check my Geography better next time lol...
Before the whole forum calls you a complete moron and preaches about anger management, let me tell you this. I would've felt the same if I were you. Hope you get it fixed soon.

i don't know why you picked such a cool car to buy when you knew you were going to have to park it in un-cool places. a school parking lot is just one of many. you should've just bought a "beater" car and waited to buy the nice car later. i'm sure you've heard this from others as well as thought about it yourself though. hope you get it fixed soon.

No actually no one else has said this to me...it took me a year and a half to find this car and there will never be a day in my life I will regret buying it...i know stuff is bound to happen, after all its just a car
Well... I guess that is a "mature" way of looking at it. I'm 44 and I think I've re-gressed with the whole "let it go" thing. Arn't we suppose to "mellow" with age? lol
Still Mickey, pretty sorry thing that happened...I'm with you Bud! Guess you could go over to the "Dark Side" in Cali and buy a tree hugger's Hybrid for school...I hear the have cookies too!

Eric
There is no other way in hell I could drive any other car. I love it too much. Oh, and trust me, I am not mellow about it haha...just gotta realize that its only a possession. I wouldn't go so far as to say it is just a car, but it is just a possession
In fact, I was born in San Diego and was raised in New Port Beach, Orange County,
You have been gone too long Eric. It is Newport Beach
I am guessing your Saleen is your daily driver. I would follow the advice of not spending the cash until you finish school. Odds are stacked against you that some jerk will ding your car again. When you can afford to get a daily driver or not be forced to aprk your Saleen in vulnerable spots then I would fix everything.
I was sitting in a my two month old car one day and some lady parks next to me, gets out and bangs her door against my car. Luckily she didn't do anything but I was ready to stick her head in her door jam and close it.

You're right Greg. Too early in the morning and I hadn't had my morning coffee yet...all 2 gallons of it! Actually, I was in Corona del Mar. My Grandparents raised me there, on Poinsettia @ PCH.
Little Corona was "my beach" and honestly, I DO miss it there, very much. No reason to go back, now that my Grandparents are gone. Good memories though...
Yea I am planning on waiting till I get my first job out of college to get her completely redone on the outside (paint, dings, etc.) Anyone have any idea around how much this costs?

Hey Buddy...you missed three 0's on the end of the 10,000...lol it's $10,000,000
Seriously, It can just depend on where you go. I've been an "Old Rodder" a while, and I've seen paint from the worst to first...class. Best bet, is to ask around. Talk to people who have had paint work done. You like what you see, use the shop that did the job, on whoever's car you admire.
Just absolutely, positively, remember this piece of advice,"You get what you pay for" and that's no joke!!!
I've seen good, to great paint jobs, including minor body work, (door dings, scratches, etc.) go for between $1800 and $4000. The really "good stuff", hand rubbed lacquer, 4 coats of clear, etc... can run $5000 plus.
Best bet, go to a Saturday night meet, rod run/hangout or a car show. Mingle around and ask questions...Lord knows, custom car guys love to talk about their cars, I do! When you begin to find the guys, who have the same paint shops in common, and you like the work, and it's in your budget, that's the one I'd use. Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertisement, hands down!
Hope this helps. Take your time and learn as much as you can, for a good, well informed decision. You'll be glad you did!
