I have a theory and photographic evidence, Jazzer has infected your car with the white virus, you can see this when the cars are bumper to bumper, Jazzer takes the time to transfer the white virus to your car, under the guise of dinner. Not to worry it is painless and will be completely white by when you wake up tomorrow, you can prevent this by not sleeping tonight, but alas you must sleep sometime and the change will be complete. The devious Dr. Jazzer White Strikes again.

Im calming down a bit now. Thanks for all of yalls concern. Jason, it was definitely a white car (the damage was low) and the scratch is about 8 to 10 inches long (the length of a front bumper). I am not planning on fixing it now, I agree with waiting till spring, good advice. I have a cover but left it at my house but am getting it down here next week. As for not being able to afford to fix it, dont really want to get into that right now. My parents think I am stupid for putting every penny I have into being able to afford the car for reasons just like these, but I think it's worth it. I will just have to get a part-time job during the school year to get it fixed later on (even though I wasnt planning on working my first year of college). I appreciate everyones concern
I feal your pain man, my parents are the same way, ive got about $80,000 + into my car between motors suspension, paint, s/c etc etc, i dump just about every penny i make into tools, my car, and wax, but i now own a lift, a nasty saleen, a huge tool box filed with snap on and mac tools, and am a distributer for a large detail product supplier, i learned to work on cars, built up a giant tool box, and now on top of my 6-5 job, i do tons of repair work, from exhaust to brakes, to engines, i also do performance work, detail cars, and sell detail products. And in my parents words cars are a waste of money. But as far as im concerned i have created 3 bussiness from this obsession, Area 51 Auto Repair, Area 51 detail products, and a small detail bussiness. So tell me now how is this car obession a waste of money, o and on top of that ive got a small garge fulll of $4 trophys. lol
Dont let any one tell you how to spend your money man, of the car makes you happy then keep the car, after all you cant take money with you after your dead.
I agree C.Saleen. I dont have much money now but its enough to make the monthly payments. The only thing I wish is that I could afford to add things to the car but I realize that I am 18 with this rediculous car. All is well you guys, I appreciate the concern.
Is it just me or isnt this why we pay insurance for this. Its not your fault so your rates wont go up. But maybe Cali is different than Indiana and Illinois. Does cali have no fault policy and you just pay for your car and all that. If so regard this reply. Sorry to hear about the car though. I love my car but I realize after all its just a car. I drive mine to walmart and park next to everyone because its funny how it works bc everyone that parks their cars as far away as they can from anyone usually get hit more its just how things work. Plus I dont like to feel like im better than anyone because my car is nicer than most. Im a real modest person and realize things happen. haha two weeks ago i was driving along and a damn turkey come flying into my antenna and scratched the upper part by my windshield. oh well **** happens. But i know what your saying about being young and working your ass off to get your car. Some people just dont realize. A good buff job should take out any paint though. Done it many of times when i worked for the repair shop

Not a bad idea....unfortunately, it kind of hurts when you have to pay the first $250 or $500 (i.e. deductable) to get $275 worth of paint work done . What 06 has on his hands is coming out of his pocket......it's not even worth making a claim.

The white paint from the other car buffed off with some work but I still have black paint missing fromt the bumper...its like chipped off where the white paint came off

I feel for you too Bro... Like I said before, California...Land of Fruits and Nuts!
Had you been here, Texas, at A&M or UT and the same thing happened...I'm sure someone with a little "Southern Manners" would have left a note.
Good luck with it!
And you've lived in how many places other than Texas? As Mickey said, there are irresponsible and honorable people everywhere. I've been to A&M and I've been to UT. There are dirtbags there too, my friend.
In fact, I was born in San Diego and was raised in New Port Beach, Orange County, and guess what??? I wish I had made it here sooner, 1970. The only place I've seen, with anybody having good ol' courtesy, in California, was in Bakersfield of all places. Not a bunch of arrogant city dwelling, Benz driving, "Where are yoooou from???" a**holes.
My Wife, a native Houstonion, had to answer THAT question more times than I could begin to count...simply because of her accent. All of my relatives are on the West Coast (Orange County) and I loath having to go there, twice a year, and put up with the fake BS associated with the locals.
The young man had a legitimate complaint...someone backed into his car! I feel for him. Kinda hard to be in a new place and right off the bat, something happens. He said he misses TEXAS...just trying to make him feel better, that's all.
And btw...I have been all over the world and have seen more than most...Dirtbags abound... you're right. Still, Texas suits me just fine.
Note, this is only my opinion and I'm sure not everyone out there is like that... nice people, somewhere, just haven't met them yet.
Eric

Good stuff. I too have been all over the world and lived in three countries...it doesnt matter where you are, there are all kinds of people in every place. People in Africa are much nicer than your typical american, much better spirited to say the least. I miss Africa more than Texas

I don't believe someone bumping Mickey's car has anything to do with where he lives. That happens everywhere, as does leaving a note or not.
Sorry if I came across like a jerk, I just tire of the Texan "we're nicer than everyone and states other than ours are inferior" mentality. Texas has a lot going for it and I enjoy living here. I've appreciated what Colorado, California, Alberta Canada, New York and Connecticut had to offer while living in those places as well. Each has had benefits and drawbacks and none is better than any other.

I'm jealous Mickey. There is no place on the planet I'd rather visit and spend time than Africa. Good for you!!!

I got to live there for three and half years...great experience, great place...I would highly recommend visiting, if you are considering going, let me know and I can give you some places to check out

Can't help you with the Africa thing...you're on your own! lol But, on the serious side, of the nicer people debate...We (americans) are known as "the ugly american" all over the world. I personally think that's a pretty crappy "stigma" attached to the majority of travelers abroad.
As Amy pointed out, there are boneheaded people all over. I just wish they would stay home and keep me out of the "ugly" crowd. I like to travel. Or in the case of backing into a car...Leave a Damn note!!!
Amy, I don't take offence to anything you've said...at all. You are completely entitled to your opinion as well as I. If the Dallas/Ft Worth area is the only place you've lived in, here in Texas, don't judge the whole State on that area...omg! Big Haired, Foo Foo, Dallas ladies are the stereo typical icons, associated with everything Hollywood puts out. That embarrasses even me and I'm not from here, originally Remember, Texas is a HUGE state and over all, I believe the people are nicer and...the girls are much prettier!

I don't live in Dallas, I live in Fort Worth. They are totally different places.
I have spent a great deal of time in Houston, Austin and San Antonio because they were in my territory for two different jobs over several years. Each has good points and bad.
BTW my fave musician/performer/songwriter of all time is Lyle Lovett, who I'm sure you know is from Klein. The sexiest ugly man on the planet and I used to refer to him as "my future husband" (that was before Julia Roberts got her hooks into him). He is the ultimate Texan in my book and I've seen him perform in Boulder, Denver, New York, Baltimore, Los Angeles and Fort Worth.
"So won't you let me help you Mister Just pull your hat down the way I do And buy your pants just a little longer And next time somebody laughs at you You just tell 'em: You're not from Texas That's right you're not from Texas That's right you're not from Texas But Texas wants you anyway"
