Default Interior ?

Does anyone know if a 2005 and up interior fit in a 1966 coupe? I think it would be cool to put those seats in cheap from a salvage yard and ge the kit that looks like the old seats like my pony interior. I know I can by some that are similar to this setup, but if I could get them cheaper out of a wrecked car, I would prefer it. I think it would be cool to put the dash setup in too, with modern A/C controls and gauges.

I am sure that some will spit on this idea. But I am building a restomod, so I really dont care to keep it original. I love the classic look, just not wanting to build that style. Though I do respect all opinions.

i know that a 04 cobra interior has been placed into several classics, but im not sure if the newer one will fit or not, the seats would be the easy part, the dash would be hard to do though.

This is what caught my attention http://www.mustangdepot.com/OLC3/Interior/uhp-kit.htm. I didnt find a kit for 04 body style.I am sure there is though. I think it would look real good.

you would probably jut be better off getting the sport seat conversion kit...its the same look and you get to use the original seat frames. thats what i did and i love them

A friend of mine just finished a 69 Sportsroof onto a 03 Cobra. Its very suprising how well this body went on the frame of the Cobra. The contours of the dash matched with a 1/2 gap around the dash pad as it was made to fit. Their was some trouble with the door interiors and some custom work had to be done. Also the rear side panels required some craftsmanship to get the fit. However everything else seemed to mate fine. Look for it in an upcomming magazine shoot. His car was featured at the Carlisle Invitional this year at the All Ford Nationals. So, go for it, you will find a lot of us on here will be in support. As far as the seats, check the bottom height (may bea littletaller and require alteration to the seat bases for a good fit) as this very well may be an issue going into a classic.
