If you don't use that sensor, depending on which one you use, Either the Temp gauge wont work OR the ECU will turn the Fan on all the time.  And you can not splice the wires to use the same Temp Sensor for both.  They have different values.

100% right.  I haven't had a chance to tap for the sensor yet and my fan stays on all the time.  I unplugged it for the time being, but the temperature gauge works fine.

i got my gaskets from car quest, the manifold from americanmuscle.com, and everything else from a ford dealership.  no problems finding anything really.

that would be the npi intake.. the first runner goes to the pass side instead of the driver side..

^^^ see how on the PI intake, the first runner goes to the driver side.

I've seen that on E-Bay as well.  It looks like it would be great for a full PI swap.

I completed my swap and put in the T with both sensors plugged in.  However my temp gauge doesnt seem to work as well as it did. It almost seems like it isnt getting a good reading thru the T.  Will the T cause some inaccurate readings?

it is possible it might read lower because the coolant isnt really flowing into the t, but instead its jsut flowing past it.

i just finished it and have a strong recommentation!

here is my recommendation to all NPI guys who want to do the PI intake swap:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-98-Mustang-GT-4-6-4-6L-Performance-Intake-Manifold_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el1262QQcategoryZ36474QQihZ023QQitemZ360047636138

the guy i bought it from has the shop Custom Mustang of South Florida (www.custommustang.com) and that was his ebay account, there could not be a better more complete kit for the intake swap. (~$315)

for the $315 you get everything you need to do the swap, ALL NEW FORD PARTS! Ford Racing PI inkate manifold (aluminum crossover), FRPP intake gaskets, the FRPP heater hose (the one that runs through the valley), the water pump nipple, water pump o-ring, t-stat o-ring, the grey RTV, and some of the best directions and support that you could find anywhere. he even gives you a number that you can call for help after 6 PM (eastern time). i didnt even need to call him though, the directions were so clear!

the only things that you really need that arent included in the kit are fuel injector o-rings (need 16) ~$6, coolent (and maybe some redline), and this would be a great time to get a 180* thermostat ($10).

the power increase was even more than expected to me and it really changes the feel of the car.

it took me about 5 hours total and it was very simple.

i was just so impressed with the kit and support i thought i would share it with you all. I actually called him after it was completed and recommended that he advertise here on mustang forums.

Question for you guys that have done this.  Does the Pi manifold raise the height of the plenum/thottle body, becuase right now I have a 75mm throttle body and plenum with a cold air intake and it just barely fits under the cross member.  Thanks guys
