I have very recently purchased an 02 S281E Saleen. I am very happy with this car.-I wanted a mustang with a built engine, stock. That left me with 3 choices, the 03 Cobra, an 03 Cobra Saleen or the S281E Saleen. With the price difference being pretty extreme, my original thought process was that i would buy an 03 Cobra, and mod it. (I wanted a car that could handle a little boost, as that was the plan) A cobra with a Kenny Belle blowzilla sounded pretty good. After thinking about it, i realized i'd be into the Cobra for well over 40K. -And i started to think about resale value; it scares me to think what 03 cobras will be going for in 2-3 years. (especially with the debut of the 05) -Let alone a modded one. So my thought process turned to Saleens. The Saleen cobra avalible based at 50k, no options. A used one could work, but used Saleen Cobras are harder to find than Sadam Hussein. I started to look for a good deal on a used Saleen S281E. Although kinda hard to find, Saleen was helpful in pointing some out to me accross the country at various dealerships. After being a little patient i found a good deal on an "E" near my home (boise id). E's are rare enough that the resale value will be there. It is beryllium in color and seems to be faster than 03 Cobras i had driven. The series V twin screw blower in this car is amazing. The sound it makes at high rpm is wicked. -Almost scary. It churns out 11 lbs of boost stock, and is very smooth. oh, and i love the 6 speed. I'd be happy to answer any questions
