Last night about 7PM I decided to go and detail my stang. I stoped and bought the Meguiars Clay Bar kit. Spent about 30 mins washing and drying the car, then I broke out the clay bar. You spray some detailer on and use a back and forth motion with the clay bar, then you simply dry. After the entrie car is left felling silky smooth you apply the wax of your choice. When its all said in done you stand back and look in amazment. I am so glad I spent the money on the clay bar kit, it really worked great. I'll try and post some pics up tonight. If you have the time and a little extra cash get yourself a clay bar its really makes a difference. Hope some people take my advise its really great.

And did it really leave swirl marks, even after you waxed it?
who were you reffering to me or the op
if me i was not talking about taking swirl marks out because of the clay bar it will take them out from normal wear and tear

You need to use a good amount of lubrication otherwise it will leave streaks & potentially allow you to scratch the car, but you really have to be trying hard....
Nathansee, you should try some of the more professional products if you haven't already. I used www.obsessivedetail.com 's own acrylic glaze & it works like nothing I've used before. It's incredible what it does for a black car.

I agree 100%. I'd never heard of a clay bar until finding this site. I used it on my 05 Mustang and man did it make a difference!!! I thought I kept my cars pretty clean but none have felt the way my Mustang does after using the clay. I was so amazed I called my wife down to the garage to have her do a before and after feel of the car.
PS - now I want to try it on my wife's black Sorento. It has some overspray from minor door repair that I'm hoping will come out.
