Default Magnum 500's Quality

im sure at least a dozen of the members in here have purchased a set of magnum 500's for their old mustang.

well, my dad has a 72 Mach 1, and we've both heard stories about getting 'low grade quality' whelels before... has anyone else ever heard of this?

we're also wondering where the best place to find these are (excluding almost every classic mustang magazine out there) we get at least six or seven a season, and they all run about the same.

anything woudl be awesome, thanks

Wheel Vintiques is the manufacturer of all the aftermarket Magnums I think, so they should at least be constistent. The problem with light chrome plating is water staining/rust, so you got to keep on top of them and indoor storage helps a lot.

i had heard from somone that not all of them were from the same place...but if wheel vintiques is the same place doing them all, i would expect them to be consistent like you already said..

do you have any suggestions, or ideas where to possibly find them cheaper than the majority of the magazines..they all fall within 50 bucks of eachother.

my dad's looking for 15x7 or 15x8

I have the mag 500's on my 65. I got them from a Mustang supply house, and I have to agree that you have to stay on top of them as far as maintenance. They are a light coated chrome wheel, and are very suseptible to rust. Every time you wax your car, you also wax your wheels after cleaning them.
