Take vfast's advice and find a donor for some good gears. A prime source are all the Rangers and Mazda pickups out there. I don't know the exact numbers, but many of them came with FACTORY 3.73's to give them some kick. A buddy of mine with a '96 B3000 has 3.73's factory. If it's like what I've seen before in other brands, the 4.0 trucks will probably have steeper gears closer to what you've got already. The 2.3 trucks will probably have deeper gears, like 4.10's. But the 3.0's are super-plentiful. I know because I tried a long time to find a 4.0 truck like I wanted, but all I could find with the options I liked were 3.0's. 4x4's will probably have 4.10's too, even if they're 3.0's, but some may have the 3.73's. Again, I don't know the actual production figures on this, but this should get you started in the junk yard. In case you don't know, remember that Mr. Ford has made it really easy on us with the gear ID's: the rear-end tag has it in the lower left position. BONUS info not included on the original video: 4x4's have a large proportion of locker rear ends. Yeah, baby!!! Ah, the joy of salvage yard shopping!!! Tin Kicker PS - I think I read somewhere that stock HP for your car is 195. I may be wrong...it's probably somewhere on this forum. Also, I've seen somewhere in the last couple weeks a post from way back about a guy putting a T-bird turbo setup on his car...but his was a 2.3. You could do it, though.
