I haven't listened to my Stang, but my truck has an elec. fuel pump and can hear its "whine" over the motor and for a few seconds after I turn of the key. Have someone turn the key on while listening close below tank and check it out to see if it has power.

I'm heading there today after church (religous holiday today) and will check it out unless he already has it fixed. He said I'd get it back today no matter what but he was trying to get me on the dyno tonight too.

You should be able to hear the fuel pump "whine" even from inside the car when you first turn the key; it's pretty distinctive.

Side note - it seems like the fuel system in my 04 WRX takes about twice as long to pressurize as the 06 Extreme (or the 97 GT did).  Unsure if it's a difference in the fuel pump or the pressure that the systems run at or a bunch of different things...

Back to the question about hp limits, I was in the local Saleen dealer today and they told me they are currently having a battle with a client who had them install some upgrades on a 281s/c (leaving the lower stock). Crank hp was around 520 and the engine grenaded very soon after parts were added.  The guy is trying to blame the dealership saying they should have warned him to replace the internals with forged.

While I was there, the dealer asked me if I wanted to buy a PJ.  Of the 500 made, 40 or so are coming to Canada and are just crossing the border now.  This dealer is getting 2, they have sold 1 already.

Saleen trivia: if you see a Saleen with a bumper number that has a 'c' in it (e.g. 25c) that means the car was assembled at Saleen's Montreal facility for the Canadian market.

So the fuel pump works. There is fuel pressure. We had troubles with the previous mechanic so I had to find a new one and that's what has been taking so long. The thing is, the spark is not getting any fuel. The new mechanic is out of town so a buddy of his that owns a Ford dealership that deals Roush is gonna take a look at it. Hopefully everything will be running smoothly again soon.

Good luck with your car,but it may be what jazzer said, but believe me when i say this, DON'T GO MORE THAN 450rwhp, i lost my car due to too much hp on a stock bottom end, my car was pushing near 500rwhp and i was running meth injection at the time it grenaded, there was no service engine light ,and i was going wot but it was at about 5,500rpms (i had a FordGTfuel pump)and it just blew. I'm not saying it can't be done...Just be Careful.

Lol I'm just curious to see what happened because I've heard that engines can still die even if there's no smoke or noise, which is what happened to me on the dyno...

If this is all true, then you need to figure out why the injectors aren't opening.  What is the one link that can affect all of them at the same time?

I'm not that car knowledgable so I don't know. The new guy mentioned the injectors didn't seem like they were pulsating when we did a physical check even though his computer said other. Sorry for my ignorance on the topic...

When it exploded there was a lot of smoke, fire and oil coming out of the exhaust and the oil pressure went to 0, there was no pinging, no souds(other than normal) and i guess that the pistons were completely destryed because after that even though the car had 2 destroyed pistons,it started and ran(it sounded like it had 2 fouled sparkplugs)

Edit, nvm!

So if I read correctly, it's either the ECU is bad or I need new injectors?

You don't need new injectors, there's no way all 8 would fail at the same time, especially on a newer car.

Can you turn the engine over manually with the crank bolt?

We didn't try that. The shop is closed for the weekend so I'll have them try that out first thing on monday.
