Well, I just got an email from my dad at work from a car junky like most of you. It came from an unreliable source, so only read for amusement and satisfaction. It may not be true. Apparently this guy works the dock where the shipment came in and took pictures.
"Ford spent $5 million developing this car, and another $2 million just building this particular one. This is the first and only one of this type in existence, and was completed yesterday afternoon in California. In January of 2004 it was sketched out on paper. In February a full size mockup was molded in clay. Now, a year later, the real thing is on it's way to the Detroit Auto Show. This car wasn't a mockup or a shell. The sculptor, designer and escort for the car is hoping it will take best of show this year. And Kitty Hawk delivered it! This is the 2007 Ford Shelby GR1 concept car. If Ford decides to put it into production, potential buyers can expect to pay around $200,000 for it. The entire exterior of the car is polished aluminum, and it has liquid cooled LED headlights. It was amazing seeing this car up close and talking to the project leader for the studio that built it."
Looks nice from the side... reminds me of a russian TVR or a jag XKR
I didn't care for the back or the front though. Kinda wish it had paint too. Polished aluminum is cool and all, and very unique, but I gotta have paint.

Did any of you see the making of that car on the Discovery or Learning channel?
That thing is hot!
Lets hope that ford will be releasing cool concept cars like that every few years. I'm planning on dental school, so when I graduate in about 6 years, I just might be able to afford something cool like on of them.
