Default 00 GT vs. 08 GT/CS ---RESULTS!!!

2000 GT(Me)
-C&L Plenum
-K&N + Air silencer removed
-Steeda UDPs
-4.10 Gears
-Semi-Automatic(Shift Programmed)
-SVT Focus Fuel Pump

2008 GT/CS(Buddy)
-Bone Stock
-Virgin(Engine not broken in)

For the noobs out there, the CS is a body trim, not a performance upgrade(Larger air intake though).
Now, what I'm counting on is his engine not being broken in, so he won't be able to push his engine as hard as he's used to.
I also have an advantage of raced a few times before, as this will be his first race.

The toss is up, who will win?

If his engine isn't broken in yet he might wanna start laying into it if he wants his rings to seat properly.Maybe gonna come down to driving?

Drivers race. The new S197's put out a lot of power. Even though his engine has not been broken in, they are still torque monsters. He will have two disadvantages.

[ol][*]His engine is brand new[*]the CS body kit is a fair amount of added weight.[/ol]
you should take him. but if you guys race again and his engine has been broken in, he will beat you hands down. Should be a good race.

I think you'll have him, but not by much. He'll probably run a high 13 or low 14.

If you win, you win, good for you. If you lose, don't feel bad...

My S197 with my and no weight reduction weighs about 3620. I weigh about 180 LBS. When I took out my sub, the back seat, the donut with all of the hardware, and swapped my old 18's for 17s, I decreased close to 200 lbs. 100lbs. is a tenth of a second

Yeah, thats what I was guessing. And when you said earlier that the S197's are Torque monsters, he probably has about 8 lbs. of torque over mine with my current mods.

8lbs. is 8lbs. Is your 312 TQ at the wheels or the crank?
