is there anything i can buy at comp usa or office depot that can speed up aol or i can buy a cable modem or dsl or something, i just dont wanna spend $50 amonth a internet service when i can prolly buy one at stores that can speed up stuff ??

Nope, you need the high speed internet service.  You can go buy an expensive 56k modem, which will help keep your speeds at 52k, but 52k is slow as dirt now

AOL sucks, hands down.


You could go to the library and look up what you need faster than AOL can. DSL is usually cheaper, but it's not much faster than dialup.


My cable costs $40 a month and it gets a half meg per second. Not bad for $40 bucks.

they gave a a deal where we have cable in 2 rooms,hbo,cinimax and the modem for 51.95 a month
plus I have a dish..got have my football on the wide screen..

my dsl is cheap and i can pull at least 250 a sec...it was in some package deal so its like 25 or 30 or something

I dont know what kind of options you have in yuor area but here in cali ive seen sbc adds for dsl as low as 25/ month. go to dslreports.com and find yourself a better isp. Ill never go back to dial up.
