When you put it on can you take some close-up pics? I know some people say it doesn't look that great close up no matter how good you try and put it on... I'm not sure whether I should spray paint the decklid or not... Sounds scary, haha

Well, I'm sure the decklid vinyl would be alright, but I just don't know how good it would look if I just tried to spray paint that part, my dad is always telling me about how hard it is to paint stuff and that if I tried to do it myself it would look like crap and I would ruin my car... You're going to need to remove your 232 emblem. Make SURE you use a micro-fiber cloth when smoothing out the bubbles. If you use paper-towels, it will leave swirl-marks (found that out the hard way...).The flat black will make the bubbles less noticeable. It took me about an hour, but I took my time. Either go from the middle piece and work your way out, or start with both corners and work your way in. Don't go from left to right or right to left..it will be harder to get everything aligned. A heat gun/blow dryer will help to curve the pieces...

DO NOT spray paint anything on ur car unless its small or very thin..if you try to spray paint a large piece, it will not come out nice... some areas will be darker and such. get what im saying??? unless you are the best spray painter in the world [8D]

True, I was getting an image in my head when he said that and it wasn't a good one. I don't think it would cost alot to have that painted by the pros would it?

One member on here spray painted their decklid themselves and I think he was satisfied with the results. I'm kinda wondering too now how much it would cost to just have that section painted by someone. But again, I'll see how this looks first and if I have to I can take it off and get it painted later.

Oh, and the difference between GT and V6 Side scoops is the GT ones... they come all the way up to the door and they're not as flat up against the body...

it is a bitch but well worth it and it looks great.....have a hair dryer ready....it will make stretchin the vinyl and rollin the edges a lot easier

+1 exactly what I used. And definately worth it.

If you take your time, it should turn out good--minedid.It's also better that you got flat black, it tends to not show little imperfections like gloss does.

yea i wish i could pull off flat black but all my accents are gloss so i just wouldnt look right for me

jst take ur time n it will be fine.....it took me a slow 3.5 hours for the decklid then another hour or so for the tail light trim cause i did it all in the same day

I don't like the CDC panel. A.) It uses that stupid "V6 High Ouptut" emblem that is inside a GT space. B.) It adds more honeycomb to the car, and I bought a grille delete to get RID of some of the honeycomb. C.) It is like $130-$200 depending on where you get it. You might as well have it painted for that price.

i hope mine turns out that nice.. i just ordered a flat black one to help hide the mistakes im bound to make[>:]
