One thing I have realized since owning my Saleen is that GT500 drivers are pretty intimated by you. Every time, I see a GT500 on the road, I generally drive or stop rightbehind it. Once the driver sees me, he literally stomps on his gas to try and show off. I just tend to follow my own path by doing the speed limit. Once I catch up to the driver, I look over at him and when he looks over, I just do this slow clapping motion to him which generally tends to piss him off even more. Then I go about my own business.
Anyone else feel the same?

I don't see a lot of GT500's around here.....maybe they're all at the gym trying to lose weight .....
LOL, now that's funny! I have a N/A car that has cam's, long-tubes, etc. and 4.10's. Funny thing is that is sounds like an animal with the Saleen Borla catback. So I go with one of two potential tactics. Either I act like they don't have a chance and aren't worth my time and gas, or I load it up and pull a John Force burnout acting like I can't possibly get all the power to the ground. (Like it's hard to get 303hp down...lol[&:][sm=icon_rock.gif]) I figure anyone dumb enough to be intimidated by that doesn't deserve a GT500, so I then call the Mustang police and turn him in...lol Give me a GT500 and I'll pully up and go after virtually anyone...

Man, that is rich. I know what I'm gonna try next time I pull next to a ricer, vette, or anybody that generally looks shifty.
lol

In the last 9 months since I have had my Saleen, I have seen 0 (that is zero) new body style Saleen (except for the dealership). In the same time, I have seen at least a dozen GT500s and a half dozen Roush. Go figure...

Up until two weeks ago, I saw my first '05-'07 Saleen in L.A. (I've seen some before down in the O.C., but those Saleens have always been near the Saleen store, so I don't count those). Before that, I had about the same count as Abbas for Saleen vs. GT500 sightings.
Not to hijack the thread, BUT...I'm noticing some newbies around here. Welcome sal07b and Saleen 556! Let's see some pics!

...Stu,
Saleen556 has been around for awhile but I'm sure is just like me. Will stock the boards but doesn't post very often. Sal07b or David by his real name, has had his budget car for a few years now. He's been over on the Saleen boards for some time and finally made his way here. Welcome aboard Dave, hope it was ok to tell every one here your real name?? Don't know 556 personally so hopefully he will introduce himself....
...In response to seeing Saleens regularly, doesn't even happen here that often and I'm ten minutes away from the plant and store in Irvine. I finally saw one S331 F150 on the road the other day while I was cruising up PCH on the Hayabusa.....Ironically enough, it was bumper number 05 so I know it was a Saleen employee but was fun catching up to it after hitting a red light :-P
