I will be removed as the mod of this section shortly. I have enjoyed conversing with all of you for these many years, but it seems I am no longer useful to this site because of my opinions regarding restomods. You guys take care and keep those Mustangs running.

I would like to thank glen for his time and efforts here and let him know that he will always be welcome here as a member.
Anyone who would like to discuss this situation with me, you are welcome to PM me and I would be happy to discuss it, but it was a decision based on long discussions between Glen and the administration of the site.
Glen, should you opt to leave the site, good luck with your personal life and thank you for your time here at MF.

Thanks for your efforts Glen. It's too bad your opinions and views were so drastic. I'm sure your knowledge and insight to the classic community will be missed.

Glen... Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into this site. Although we frequently didn't see eye to eye on certain things, I always appreciated your time spent here and effort involved in creating an outstanding Classic section. We'd like to see you stick around on the forum.
Good luck!!
BTW, Glen was not removed as a section mod because of his opnions, but how he treated others, members and moderators alike, while voicing them.

Sorry to hear that, I hope you stay on as a member. In my short membership tenure I have seen many posts by you and all were helpful. I don't see why it matters that you are a restorer v. a resto-modder, but I'm sure I don't know the whole history.
Edit: I did have a long rant about how somebody shouldn't be punished because of their opinions but I posted that before I got a chance to read one of the administrators' post's above. Anyways thank you Soaring for all the help you have given to me and others, I hope you remain a member of MF's and continue to help people as much as you do already. Good luck!

WOW ! I'm not sure I ever saw one of your posts that was " drastic". I saw a few that were certainly your opinion, just like everyone elses'. I certainly don't agree with the decision , but....
As for the administrators of the site, it's their site and I guess they can do as they please. I don't have the authority to challenge their decision making process, but I question it. Anything Glen might have written would certainly pale in comparison to the things written in the other sections of this forum.

Holy cripes Glen. For crying out loud, do not leave the board. You are now liberated and free to express your opinions. Seriously, thanks for the good times. Here's hoping more.

Well Glen, I really hope you stick around. We never got to meet, and hopefully you'll stay in touch with us here. Especially so next year I can drive down to Austin and go to the MOCA show.
Glen, When I first encountered you "stile” I didn't like what I saw, but now after getting to know why you are so passionate about these cars in original form I understand it, and because of YOU respect that opinion. I will say this; prior to encountering you I felt that the only reason to not "upgrade" a Mustang to a more modern configuration was a shortage of time or money. You have opened my eyes and for that I am eternally grateful. I hope you stick around so that other like my self, blinded by the glitter of things new and efficient, can see the value and beauty in a complete original car.

I'm with you, gothand.....Stay and feel free to continue to express your opinion. Not once did I view anything Glen shared as abrasive. EVERYONE has a right to their opinion here. Don't we seek people's "opinions" here? I do...and take it all in....and sort through the ones I agree with, and the ones I don't. Where's the harm? Anyway...stick around Glen...I always valued your opinions, whether or not they were what I wanted to hear...

I would like to reiterate that soaring was NOT removed for his views on any specific types of vehicles, but due to some personal issues 'behind the scenes' between himself and a few other moderators. Some may have seen the post in this section prior to it being removed.
For a website of this size to run smoothly, it is important for the moderators to work together, and that had become an issue. I just wanted everyone to understand that glen's opinions on restomods had NOTHING to do with the mutual decision for him to step down as a moderator.

Thank you very much! Glen, I am sorry to hear that you are stepping down (or being forced). You have put tons of time and knowledge into this site and even straightened a few of out when we needed it. Some people just don't understand. The classic section won't be the same without your moderator skills but, hopefully you will hang out here and if you don't let a few of us know.... the way i see it is I am definately up for some golf next time around (the MOCCA Show I will be ready this time)... There are not many people who will let a bunch of motor heads come over.
I really like how you have more post then any other moderator

This sucks. I really hope you dont leave, but I guess I cant blame you if you do. Thank you VERY, VERY much for all of the help that you have given me in the short time that I have been a member.
I dont know what the issues were, so I cant pass blame or judgement in any direction, but this site may have just lost one of its most knowledgeable members, I hope it was worth it.
