Just so everyone knows where I stand,,, I know this forum is a private enterprise, I think it should be run at the discretion of the owners/management, and whatever is done to make the forum work like management thinks it should work is all part of business, but from my point of view I just think that this decision sucks. Just so I don't get banned, I will say that I have said about everything I want to regarding this subject,,, (unless provoked)..

seriously, who cares about the staff? Is this forum for you? I realize decisions need to be made but you are going about it in thre wrong manner
You know maybe you don't care about the staff, but he was more then just a staff member he was a huge contributer... do I care about the staff not really, but if this ends up with glen leaving then you are not just losig a staff member (which most have no interaction in here anyway) we are losing an asset and a friend. Most of them could not possibly know how much he contributes, because all they care about is the crap....

god i hope i dont get in trouble for posting things said in the mod section, but here goes....
these are parts of posts made recently by glen, in a discussion started by staff asking him to not crap on other moderators in open forums
"I didn/t pick JamesW as my assistant. I do not like the guy and I have seen his car up close. I am also a volunteer. Get the hell out of my face."
and
"Come into my world, and I will teach you something, Otherwise, shut the **** up."
that is the attitude the admins here got fed up with dealing with. that is also the way conversations have gone between glen and the staff here for as long as i have been a moderator and have had access to that section.
again, admins please dont bust my balls for posting that stuff but maybe it will help people understand why its happening.

Thanks for your efforts Glen. It's too bad your opinions and views were so drastic. I'm sure your knowledge and insight to the classic community will be missed.
That is what America is all about today, suppression of "drastic views", don't have any of your own do you?
too bad you never got to see the REAL glenn in the mod room
We got to know him in this section and appreciate him, minus a few ***holes that don't. The real Glen in here is fine by me. this a forum for discussion not for politics... and politics are what this has become. I like the way this thread was setup like you moderators actually care.
glenn started this thread knowing full well his nut swingers would bad mouth and trash talk the mods and admins, and back him up to stay. glenn's going to wake up tomorrow, open his windows, and see there's a whole new world out there.
I am sure you all knew about it too being that you would not be in here otherwise.... and oh wait moderators were the first to post which is funny cause i usually only see two in here.... Planned perhaps....

oh and btw, he was asked if he could just cool down and play ball and he basically said no. that was his decision he was given the opportunity to make a post stating that he would be resigning and he choose to word it in a way to intentionally stir up trouble.
66 obviously the mods knew about this before any of the regulars on the site, thats how things work (glen was very active in the decision to be removed, as can be seen by some of his qoutes i posted above)

I haven't been here long but have to admit I've made a habit of scrolling past his posts - and it's a shame because I'm sure he does have a wealth of knowledge. Maybe this can be a lesson learned for all - stick to the subject and take the opinions, jabs and sarcasm somewhere else. I'm sure there are many like myself here who are looking for facts and knowledge, and simply don't have the time to scroll through the crap. I tip my hat to those in charge for keeping control of such a fine website.

I don't recall seeing anything in here like this so that is all your fault for bringing it in here and was uncalled for. I am starting to think this was thought of when another mod was picked... gettting rid of glen that is.....

hahaha! you'll have to be more specific. i'm an asshole to a lot of people. you sound just as old and senile as glenn. you all need to quit taking it like your wife just left you for another man. it's a forum.
1st Bold = Yep,,,
2nd Bold = So WTF are you posting here about this issue? It must be so un-important to you that you have made the first post I have ever seen in this section..... Duh.............. I hope your foot is clean...... (13,000 posts,,, total,,,, and I have not seen even one in the classic section prior to this thread,, )

quit it with the conspiracy theories guys simple fact - Glen sh*t the bed now he has to lie in it. We dont have to like the decision, but Glen can still contribute as a member if he chooses to do so. If he sees the support and chooses not to contribute, that's his loss as much as ours.

66, quite the opposite. I was commenting on a moderator. I didnt agree with lot Glen said, but saw the extreme value in aving his opinion. The Auburn Tiger mentioned above about this not being a site for opinions, but look at all the topics, people are wanting opinions and alternatives for completing projects with their mustangs.

Not entirely true. If it's an opinion thread, it's an opinion thread. But if it's a thread regarding specific details of a restoration, etc. it, in my opinion, should be a thread without opinions or jabs. That's all. It's obvious not everyone here is interested in the 100% to-the-detail restoration and that is fine. I have owned four previous Mustangs that were not, or even close to 100% correct. My current project is one that attention is being paid to as many details as possible, therefore opinions & jabs just waste time when looking for accurate answers.
I want to thank soaring, I think he posted in just about every topic I started.
I think Soaring is a big boy and he knew what he was doing and what would come of it and made his decision. I tip my hat to you sir.
I think the moderators have gone the wrong way about this thread and it should probably be shut down especially with posts from the mod section in here where I don't believe they should be.
If he can be treated fairly as a meber I'd love to see him stay and if not then Thank you again soaring.
Thats it really.

Speaking strictly for myself, I'll say that I hope Glen sticks around as a contributing member. His knowledge of classic Mustangs will be sorely missed if he choses to stay away. But understand that Glen behaved badly (I'm putting it nicely), and he refused to apologize for something that EVERYBODY agreed was way over the line of acceptable conduct from a Moderator. Had a regular member done the same thing, they would have been banned. So the only recourse was to remove his Mod powers. Glen knows he is welcome to stay here as a regular member, and again, I hope he does.
To the conspiracy theorists, there was nothing convoluted involved. JamesW was "hired" a while back to bring a balance to the section for those members who like their classics hotter than factory specs. That balance is now temporarily outa whack.
