I do not know for sure if Mitsu is closing doors but they are in hot water, since Chrysler is pulling out financially. Mitsu has been aroung for a long time, I do not think they will ever close doors, maybe a fall like this it will take for them to make a big come back. I am not a fan of Japanese automakers and I lived in Japan for six years! Ford all the way baby!

American Muscle all the way!

For someone criticizing others about car knowledge you seem to be under some strange delusion that the "tiny" 1.3L rotary gets better gas mileage than a Mustang GT.

From Edmunds.com
1995 Mazda Rx-7 (last year of the Rx-7's)
Manual: 17 mpg / 25 mpg

1995 Mustang GT (last year of the 5.0 GT's)
Manual: 17 mpg / 25 mpg

Hey look at that! Perhaps you should check your facts before you mouth off. Rotary engines get notoriously bad gas mileage for their size.

Hahahahaha, Stang393 just got bitchslapped by a newbie, langod. Way to go mate! And you're right. RX-7s were my dream cars, but for the price of parts for a rotary engine, and it pissing away gas like light beer, I decided against it. But you can get a lot of power of out of those little engines, and the near 50/50 weight balance makes it corner like a freakin' rollercoaster cart. But I'm so glad to see the 'stang kicked ass.

Thanks for posting the video, man!

It's true. The poor fuel economy was the main reason Mazda pulled the line. Now that everybody is into SUV's, and gas prices are so low (I know they seem high as hell, but in reality, we still buy a Shiz load of it), the re-introduced it.
