I had my eye on a True Blue Bullitt but the deal didn't happen. I was looking at one on eBay motors but the poor thing had been abused. I found the above classified searching google and was unaware prior to that this was a color option on other Mustangs. What years was it around and is it terribly rare? And is it referred to as "True Blue" or does it go by another name? I always see the "sonic" blue that's a bit lighter and more royal blue looking.
If I landed one I could make myself a Bullitt clone.

RE: True Blue a color option on models besides the Bullitt?
I'm talking about non-Bullitt Mustangs in True Blue. FDNY said they made 'em in '01 (that classified I posted is for an '01 GT convertible) but I was wondering if the color was available '02 to '04 as well in regular Mustang GT's.
I know that Dark Highland Green is THE Bullitt color, but I've always been a fan of dark blues and the fact that there were only 723 Bullitts made in True Blue (two of which I know for a fact have been abused/demolished) it's unlikely that I'll ever be able to score one, especially not in my somewhat limited price range. If I could find a GT in True Blue, I could get wheels, the suspension package, underdrive pullies, throttle body, and, aside from a few little appointments (like the seats and gauge cluster) that make the Bullitt truly unique, I'd have the Bullitt Stang I desire.
