Can't seem to find a similar thread, so maybe you guys know ? Can you tint the convertible top's back window ? Techincally it is made of glass, but would tint peel off or bubble for some reason with it being a convertible top ?

Well, I've had mine tinted for over a year and still flawless as when brand new.

I thought tint film on a heated rear window would interfere with the heating tape and cause problems.....or are the new ones not a problem???

Window tint will not harm the defroster, however, if you ever take it off, most installers will not garentee to not damage the heating stripes.

In the Yukon (where I live), we have daylight in the summertime for 20 hours a day. Hence the want for dark tint all the way around. I don't drive the convert in the wintertime, I have a Focus that I use as a second daily driver, so I'm not worried about the backing up and all.

Mmmmm, since it snows here 6 moths out of the year, spinning around is no problem, lol.

Seriously tho, the 'Stang is just for nice sunny, dry days. I have a second daily driver and always will, so I have no problem with dark tint.

Nope, I have to wait till next year. We don't have any tint shops where I live in the Yukon, so I need to drive 2100km to Edmonton, Alberta, to have it done.

I tried tinting a 4 door Dodge Neon I owned once, had frameless windows so you'd think it was easy, yeah, right, I'll NEVER attempt to tint a car on my own again. That is something best left to professionals who do it everyday ;)
