Default Myrtle Beach Weekend

I was leaving a red light and turning right when I noticed an old guy in a C5 convertible behind me. I pulled out normally and he pulled out quick to my left and hammered it. I said"OH Hell No He Didn't" and I hammered it. I had him by about door length from 1st through 2nd and into 3rd. He pulled about a door length ahead in the low RPM's of 3rd and that was as for as he could get away. We had to get off it before I got into 4th. I believe I could have pulled back up in 4th. (MAYBE). I was surprised at how well the car ran. It was like she knew she could run. Everybody wanted to race me while I was there. I had one boy in BMW 325 follow me out to a highway and punchedit and I blew his doors off. It was a turbo charged 325 and it sounded like it would fly but it was hard to hear it with it behind me. He pulled up beside me and said" man that things sounds good"(SLP Loudmouths) and I told him " yeah, when your behind it it's really loud" HAHA He kept telling me his turbo did not have time to boost. We ran through 2nd gear 2x before we got into traffic and had to slow down.(65 -70) I told him he should think about getting a quicker turbo or a Mustang. He was a pretty cool guy. My wife got a good kick out of it.First time I had run since my Brenspeed tune. Im a believer.

The longer that race went on, the worse it would have got for you.

Which one?? I feared that turbo charged BMW more than the Vette. That BMW was a screamer. 3rd gear is weak in my Mustang. I can always get out ahead quick and lead until I get to third then cars pull a little ahead but 4th is strong and I can usually make some ground back up. Iwould like to have gone further to see against the vette. He could not pull away any further than a door length.

I was referring to the race against the 'Vette. At higher speeds, a C5 is going to walk you. More hp, lighter and more aerodynamic. A C5 will do 170.

But hey - good race.
