Default Girlfriends car

Need ur help guys....... my girlfriend has a 99 mazda 626, its been throwin a cylinder 1 misfire code.. The car studders bad on take off, or on a load... Also shakes wen sitting. I changed the plugs, wires, fuel filter, and coil... What else could it be.. Im going crazy. Please help . thanks

We had a '99 626 and after about 50,000mi it needed a rebuilt engine. Toss it. No idea what the prob is though sorry.

not sure about those motors sounds like a timing belt issue to me and if its shaking like that its a posibility if it has a timing belt it slipped valve met piston breaking/bending components, specially with the misfire code sounds like timing issue to me

Have you checked the injectors? Move the #1 injector to a good cylinder and see if the problem follows.If so,you have the culprit.
You need spark,air AND fuel to get the engine to run.

ok, so there were brand new motorcraft plugs in there that autozone recommended, and someone on another forum told me the cars only like NGk plugs, so i put them in and the car runs great, i dont get it.

that doesnt make sense to me either never heard of a car running off one spark plug and not starting at all on the other, usually theres a performance difference not a complete failure strange maybe you had a bad set of plugs?

i have no idea, but it studdered incredibly on the motorcraft plugs, and runs fine with the ngk
