Anyone know how to remove the headlight knob on a 77 mustang cobra II. I think mine is glued on cause i tried to see with a mirror if there is a clip holding it and  i dont see one. I tried pulling it and was afraid i will break it. any suggestions.

Ah tnis one always catches people with Fords!   To make it interesting, Ford switches of this vintage have a small pushbutton located on the switch itself. (see pic)

You have to be a bit of a contortionist to get to it and small hands are best.  Disconnect your battery first if the knob is going to be off for some time.  Turn the headlights all the way on first, then reach up under and behind the dash, and push in the little button (once you find it with your fingertip!) and then pull the switch all the way out. The knob will come out with the entire shaft.  To replace, just push it back in all the way, it should re-lock itself in position.

Hope this helps, I know I took a while to figure it out on my first Ford ('72 pickup)
