Lately I have been toying with with the idea of blacking out my car, i.e. black tail lights, other lenses, wheels, decals, etc. Personally I think the black on red contrast would look pretty sick but would like some outside opinions. Thanks guys.

Black is the only way to go sir ...by the way, what do you have done to your ride? And what model do you have?
I LOVE blacked out windows (my rear and quarters are done with limo) and like smoked headlights. I don't care for either blacked out tail lenses OR those Euro clear ones with silver inside replacements. I would like to do semi-smoke on my roll-downs, but got several tickets on my '85 GT for that and combo no front plate. It would be VERY difficult for me to install a front plate, so I will do without the extra attention.
But with that said, I will also reply with my standard to such questions. If you like it, DO IT! Who cares what we like, it is YOUR car
Note that Jazzer just had a stream of consciousness-like moment of clearthought and enlightenment....where everything in his world was turningBLACK....

I have the base 2005 3-valve. All my goodies are sitting in my garage because every one needs a new tune and some stuff is on backorder. In two weeks, crossing fingers, I'll have the following installed and tuned:
MMR Hi-Flo intake
MMR throttle body w/ spacer
Motoblue hardcore race coils
SPL longtube headers w/ SLP x-pipe
SCT Livewire
Pro 5.0 short shifter
Well let me toss this one atcha: my third brake light is PINK again!! Had it replaced last October and I guess daily drivers, hot Texas sun and Saleen third brakelights just don't mix. So.... I was thinking maybe I could black out that 3rd light. I'd rather it were red, but not lovin' pink. Would it be weird in black? I'm guessin' so.... a conundrum.
Hey, I bet Molly doesn't mind if her 3rd light is pink! She probably has a lifetime supply from all that have been returned.
As far as the smoke options for you, 05Saleeen, it would probably look really good. Mickey's looks awesome.

You could order a pink one and then you will get a red one and it will stay that way forever....

It should be a good race between us after that is installed...Of course we wont be racing ...but quick pulls to 90 wont hurt...You will have a little more power, but I dont weigh much
