Im moving out to San Diego in about two weeks and wanted to wait till then to take my car to the strip. I know it has better temps., and way better humidity level than Houston. Anyways, does anyone know of any tracks located in San Diego or around that area??
I don't think there is anything in San Diego, although I've heard rumors of a new one being built in Carlsbad. Probably your best bet is at California Speedway in Fontana. You'll be out here just in time for the Fun Ford Weekend event in October!
The down side to that is that it's an 1/8th mile "track" They hold it in the parking lotat the Jack Murphy (Qualcomm to all you non-natives) Stadium in Mission Valley.
Pomona Speedway and Riverside both have real tracks but those are a couple hours out. San Diego does not have an official 1/4 mile raceway.

Hey Mickey, get your backside to Coronado once you get settled. I've got family there -- it's awesome and the beach sand is like powdered sugar.

Your family must be pretty wealthy haha...I appreciate the invite Amy. Once I do get settled, I will contact you about them. Do they like mustangs!? lol

OH NO, OH NO, OH NO! The comment about family there was just for informational purposes. You would NOT want to visit my 87 year old aunt who rides around in a Hoveround.... she has very nice digs across the street from the beach but she's a cranky one! Your knuckles would never be the same!
Check out the peninsula, tho. It's terrific. The Hotel Del Coronado is a great place to impress a date for dinner, BTW. Just lookin' out for the youngster in our little group!
