Default Opportunity to score a Bullitt - opinions

I currently have a 2002 V6 Mustang with 70k miles on it. I recently got some '97 Cobra wheels w/ tires and dual exhaust off a '99 GT. My mom was kind of going along with me on all this (though I paid for everything) and listening to me ramble about Mustangs and what I wanted to do to mine. We ran across an ad for a Bullitt for sale and she asked me about it, remembering the movie from '68. I explained to her what it was, what made it different from a regular GT, that it was a limited run, etc. She keeps asking me stuff about it and then today called me and told me to check with my insurance to see how much more it would cost to insure. I checked and it really wasn't that much more at all. She said that if I wanted to sell my current Mustang she'd pony up the difference to pay for the Bullitt. I was floored.

My question is: just how "collectable" are these things? I'd hate to have a real collector car as a daily driver, and I really cannot afford to insure two. This would be my only car and it would be a shame to wreck it as an investment because I put 200k miles on it in ten years. However, if it's really not that big a deal, I'd get it and drive it until the wheels fell off of it.

Also, what price range would a Bullitt with only 20k miles on it in excellent and all original shape be in? Does the color affect the value? For instance, if it were blue (since that's the rarest color) would that make it worth more than the more common green and black?

Kbb will be under 12 on that car, and they were made to drive, once you drive it you will know what I mean, I put 13000 on my car in the first year, half of which was cruising.

I've run across a True Blue one with only 10k miles on it but the guy wants $22k. Blue Book is under $14k. Are they really going for that much?

Well heck, for more than $20k I'll wait for the '08's to come out and wait for a year or two to go by and grab one of those used.

yea... low miles... but that's alot of money for the year... but then again a 04 GT with the same miles would go for the same price, and they're not as special as the bullitt.
