Hello! I am new to the forums. I have a 2001 Mustang and its been a really great car. I have a stupid question. Is therea place I can figure out what different parts of the car are named? I am pretty handy I just know nothing about cars. If I could figure out what the parts are called, I think I could install them myself and save a ton of money.
For example I need a new vent cover for the ac vent in the dashboard. I have spent an hour looking that up, but apparently its not called a vent cover. how do I figure out what its called? Im also interested in the clear curved pieces that are in front of the headlights.
If I get a couple things fixed, my car will look brand new.
Thanks

Well I'm not sure exactly where, but one of your friends might be able to help you out.
Just check with Ford, or go to Autozone, they should easily be able to help you out.
And what clear pieces on the headlights are you talking out, the actual headlights? are they fogging?
Check www.50resto.com
they have all the parts like a/c vents, weather stripping etc...

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for Durr727. And it looks like a bit more than I want to do myself. I thought it was just a piece that popped in and out.
The headlight is not the actual headlight part. It looks like a protective piece of plastic. Its not fogging or anything, its just really scratched up. I guess that happens with time. Im getting the car repainted (original color just fixing scratches) and thought it would look really good if I fixed the accessories.
