Default What would u do

i'm looking at buying a stang 3.8L. I want to know what u would do. I can get a 96-98 and put on up's or get a 99+ and leave stock for a while. I have about $5500 to spend total. any help would be great.

Hmmm, well... for me, I'd go with the 99+ because the mileage is generally less, the body style is much better (in my opinion) and they've already got a few more HP anyways. You can put some small mods on the 99+ until you can afford the bigger things... which is what I would do. The one plus to getting the older models is the insurance is lower, but probably not by a whole lot anyways.

I say go with a newer 6, but really it's up to you because you have to drive it.

Are you sure you don't want to just put the 5500 down on an 05? If not then like they said up yah, try to get a 99+

time for a new job man. im 16 and i work at a grocery store and clock in about 20 hours a week and bring home around $150 a week. but if you are goin 3.8L, go with the 99+ cuz you will get more factory horsepower. the 99+ body style is a lot nicer too.

I hear ya. Yup, a late model V6 is the answer. Althought I like an automatic, I would recommend at your age, get a manual 5 speed. Because it's costly to make an automatic quick, plus at your age a manual is more fun to drive.
