Default Billet Grill Black - V6 Help

Need some help. Decided to put a black billet grill on my new 07 black mustang. Note a REPLACEMENT billet grill, not an overlay grill.

So far only see two options:

1. Spec-D from V6Mustangstuff: http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/images...99_6950430.jpg

2. Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...em270092396443

One member has installed the ebay grill - said it was cheaper plastic and required modifications.

Has anyone seen or used the Spec-D grill? Is it the same as the ebay one?

Does anyone know of a company that makes other V6 REPLACEMENT Billet grills? Black or alum in color?

Also, where is a good source for a 1970 Mach 1 Tribar emblem- the one with the bigger border around the stang? Thanks

Thanks

My Car:

Nice grille. I would love to do the same to my 06 Black 'vert.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.
Thanks for saving me the trouble of posting it myself.

I know for sure Classic Design concepts makes one but you may think about getting a gt front take off to go with that.

He doesn't need a GT takeoff bumper. The gray stang with the black stripes look fine with its v6 front bumper. Thats a 3Dcarbon v6 airdam by the way. Same as mine, except painted body colored.

yeh i got one of the ebay ones and it is fairly cheaply made, but it popped in and fit fine. The only trouble i had during installation was the removal of the old grille

if u want a quality metal grille id hold out for CDC to come out with the V6 version of their billet grill....if i remember correctly theyre in the process of making one. i personally have had both, the ebay grill and ow the CDC black billet grill (made the switch to GT front). the ebay grill is definately cheapley made but it gets the job done and looks great.

Hey Ryan, Seems to me, from all our emails, that you said you got the grillefrom v6mustangstuff.com, the spectre D grille you paid $150 for! Now I find out it was a cheap piece of crapoff ofEbay! Thanks for screwing me out of $70 by the way! Buyer beware!

Back to the subject, this apparent ebay grille is a piece of junk. I bought the grille on herefrom ismellhonda, and it had more superglue on it holding it together than anything else. I did actually put the grille on the car, and after something as small as a bug hits it, you better pull out the superglue, better yet buy it in bulk. The lower edge / frame of the grille is not molded correctly, so it sticks up in two places. Not really that noticable, from a distance, but I know, so it bugs the hell out of me.
I did recently replace the superglued piece of junk with another ebay special and also got the matchinglower grille too, sellers id is " kayee2501"and it was very sturdy and fit great, you may want to check with them for the grilles.
