i am going to have a redfire (the dark red color) 06 v6 auto mustang, and i was wondering what rims i should get for them. Do they make 19inch bullits? cuz 20 is kind of big and 18 is kind of small. Does anyone have any advice on other rims to get? its not that i dont like 20 inch rims, its just i think it can be too extreme, but dont let that deter you from telling me what type of rims would look good on a redfire :D thanks!!!

Another consideration - it's my understanding that there are many more choices in an 18" tire than a 19" tire.

I'am also interested in 18' polished chrome bullits. Any opinions as to where to start looking?

IMO anything over 18" belongs on a ricer. We have american muscle and the bigger rim you put on the more you take away from what a muscle car is.

funny...ricer's dont have 20's. most of them have 17" or 18". Muscle cars usuallydon't have 12 subs but Ricer's do.

whats wrong with this forum is if someone gives an opinion and others disagree its considered an attack and crossing some type of line. Let me try this again...IMO ricers are the ones riding around with the boom subs in the back. ricers don't have anything to do with 20's its buying wings, body kits and spoilers on non performance cars At lease were I live most of them are riding on 17's and 18's.

Wickerbill, you just basically called everyone with rims over 18" a ricer, and then you expected nobody to take it personally? Then when someone used a "similiar" argument on you to call you a ricer, you got mad and blamed it on the forums. You can voice your opinion without offending someone and calling them a ricer because they like different wheels than you. Seriously, around here calling someone a ricer is about as bad as calling a straight dude a fag. Its a word that is meant to elicit a strong response. Think about that next time you think someone is being an @ss, because if you look at your words carefully you might find that you were the one who came off as being the @ss.

Hey guys, not the first time ive been called a ass, and probably wont be the last. No i dont have a ricer, I was just voicing my OPINION. IMO large diameter wheels dont belong on american muscle, my 17" bullits are just fine with me, one of the reasons I bought the car I did. Hmm....just noticed your wheels :D

Sorry, my wheels are 18's. According to "your opinion", i'm not a ricer. 20's are too big for me personally, but I still think they look good, I just don't want to have to slow down for every bump and RR track because my tires are too thin. Still, they aren't rice, or as schapman pointed out they are no more rice than a bumpin' stereo system. ;)

17/'s, 18's, 19's, 20's they're all the same. It's just what suits you best. I like my 20's. They helped with the handling better then 18's I tried out.

Even though I don't have 20's I don't go around calling people ricers because they might like them. Your are such an arrogant @ss that you don't even realize how childish and hypocritical you sound. What was even funnier was after you said that and somebody called you out using the same argument on you, and then you started to get offended lol.

Now, don't get offended because I called you an arrogant @ss. I was just expressing my opinion. DUH, you can say someone is acting childish, and thats not really a bad thing, but if you call them an arrogant @ss like I did you then you will probably get a hostile reaction, which i'm expecting to receive from you. Why is it so hard to realize that you can say the same message with different sets of words and get different reactions? Part of being an adult is learning how to talk to people without offending them and making yourself look stupid. Go look up the word tact and you might learn what i'm trying to tell you. Nevermind, I found it for you. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tact

Sorry my response lacked tact. Sometimes I just get tired of explaining to adults how they are supposed to act.

This is my original message, I did not mention any names. Mr. Pantera has taken such a offensive stand on this subject that he must have some feelings for ricers hidden deep down inside him, and dont worry you keep it up with the yellow lights, and clear corners, and dubs, you will eventually achieve your dream of owning a ricer. I wont sit back and let anyone talk **** to me, this is my last post on this subject. I have better things to do, like work so I can pay my car payment, instead of letting mommy and daddy buy it for me so I can sit on forums and start **** with someone I wouldnt mess with if I were looking at them face to face. If I have to watch what I post afraid that I will offend someone I will go to another forum and buy my products from THEIR SPONSERS. I have had a great experience on this forum until this ass showed up.

Everytime I try to let it go you come back on here and call yet another name, and now you accuse me of dragging it out LOL? The only thing i'm trying to accomodate for is your lack of maturity. Unfortunately its a battle that will never be won, because you'll never be mature enough to comprehend why you are so immature that you feel the need to call everybody names in every post you make.

Sorry but our Mustangs are not muscle cars. They never have been, and probably never will be. The correct term is "Pony Car".

To the OP, I think black bullits look excellent on the Redfire. Size really depends on what you want to use your car for, and the look youre going for. If you plan on staying with the V6 body, Id probably lean towards 18s.

I can understand the rims and such but if the car has a crappy sound system why not make it so where you can "Turn up the noise" ? Yes if your whole back is packed with subs and amps you might be a ricer but hell a little noise isnt bad :p

It's pretty sad that people are so paranoid to mod their car because they think one thing is "ricey," or "pimp my ride" The reality is the ricers, you know, the fast and furious looking cars, aren't doing anything different than we are with our Mustangs, or better yet, they aren't doing anything any different than people who were modding their muscle cars back in the 60's. The simple fact of the matter is "If you are modding your vehicle, you are no differnt than anyone else,"
I have 20" wheels and I put them on the car because I did not like the way the stock 17's looked when I bought the car and had every intention from the start to replace them.

you guys are nuts... 20's look great... so do 19's, 18's and 17's. Having a 20 inch rim most positively does not make your car rice. Rice is the 86 Honda Civic I say today lowered to the ground with a disgusting exhaust, giant spoiler, a non-working nitrous gage and so much base the windows had a hard time staying in one piece... oh by the way, I blew past him w/ my stock 2006 V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee today (family car)... so funny...

mine arent ricer and i do know what your talking about, muscle cars in the old days had lots of tire with less rim and it made it muscular....but let me remind you that was then and this now, I personally think mustangs look hotter with big rims! I plan on swapping these for 19 or 20inch double dish chrome or black bullets, havent decided yet.

you should really consider 20"s. they arent too big. they fill the wheel well nice. i have them and they dont have too little tire. they fit well. you should see them before you buy them.

PLUS 19" rims are hard to find in general and even harder if you care about your tire/tread pattern. so consider that. try to find as many options as you can and then narrow them down. get what you feel looks best. IMO 18" is too small. 20"s seemed to fit perfectly to me. which tires matter alot too. mine actually cost me more than my wheels. (BFG KDWS (snakeskin pattern))

I have a set of 18" bullitts that need to be polished or chromed or powder coated. They have Toyo tires 255/45/18 on them and only have about 1200 miles on them. They are milky white from a chemical at the car wash. I will let them go cheap 400 bucks plus shipping. I know you can probably get them chromed for about a 100 bucks a wheel. I can also do without the lip, I also like the 18" polished Bullits that come with the 08 California Special Mustang.
