It's pretty sad that people are so paranoid to mod their car because they think one thing is "ricey," or "pimp my ride" The reality is the ricers, you know, the fast and furious looking cars, aren't doing anything different than we are with our Mustangs, or better yet, they aren't doing anything any different than people who were modding their muscle cars back in the 60's. The simple fact of the matter is "If you are modding your vehicle, you are no differnt than anyone else,"
I have 20" wheels and I put them on the car because I did not like the way the stock 17's looked when I bought the car and had every intention from the start to replace them.

It's funny that this is what the v6 forum talks about.  In the v8 (woman) forum we talk about how to help each other reach our goals.  Not so much bashing...  lol

WTF you doing here? We hate V8ers. Leave at once.
We bash ourselves enough and dont need your kind
here. Get on out and go back to the "more money
than brains" GT section.

Oh and for the dude that posted asking the question.  Get the 18" with some nice tires, no bigger than 45 and you will be set!

you guys are nuts... 20's look great... so do 19's, 18's and 17's.  Having a 20 inch rim most positively does not make your car rice.  Rice is the 86 Honda Civic I say today lowered to the ground with a disgusting exhaust, giant spoiler, a non-working nitrous gage and so much base the windows had a hard time staying in one piece... oh by the way, I blew past him w/ my stock 2006 V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee today (family car)... so funny...

mine arent ricer and i do know what your talking about, muscle cars in the old days had lots of tire with less rim and it made it muscular....but let me remind you that was then and this now, I personally think mustangs look hotter with big rims!   I plan on swapping these for 19 or 20inch double dish chrome or black bullets, havent decided yet.

Wickerbill, you just basically called everyone with rims over 18" a ricer, and then you expected nobody to take it personally? Then when someone used a "similiar" argument on you to call you a ricer, you got mad and blamed it on the forums. You can voice your opinion without offending someone and calling them a ricer because they like different wheels than you. Seriously, around here calling someone a ricer is about as bad as calling a straight dude a fag. Its a word that is meant to elicit a strong response. Think about that next time you think someone is being an @ss, because if you look at your words carefully you might find that you were the one who came off as being the @ss.

Hey guys, not the first time ive been called a ass, and probably wont be the last.  No i dont have a ricer, I was just voicing my OPINION.  IMO large diameter wheels dont belong on american muscle, my 17" bullits are just fine with me, one of the reasons I bought the car I did.  Hmm....just noticed your wheels
HMM...i guess my car is rice....you wanna race...lol

One thing, we you go from 17 to 18, you feel the road a bit more, I can only imagine how 19 would feel, don't want to imagine how 20 would feel.

Some larger rims do look nice on the Mustang.
How much does the weight difference affect; handling, gas mileage and hp?
