Hi everyone, Just joined up here today on my quest for more II knowledge.  I recogonize a few of the members here from the other II forums (my ID is the same here as elsewhere).  I have a bunch of IIs I'm slowly putting together including:

78 4cyl Cobra (first one I've completed)
78 King
78 T-top (building this for my daughter)
77 Ghia (my daily driver)
78 2+2 ("the project")  My first II that I bought back in '86
77 Cobra clone
74 "convertibleized"

and a few others

Looking forward to future discussions with fellow owners. My first tech question is in the "Classics" section as I could use help from anyone on my "French Emission" question.

Thanks for the welcome!  I always enjoy discussing these cars..they sure can be a challenge some times!

Pics?  Well here's a couple, forgive the small size (I'm still on stone age dial up)

Another shot of the '78 Cobra (first day out after I finished painting and re-assembly):

What it looked like when I bought it last October.. A basket case that I considered parting out until I figured out how unusual 4cyl green stripe 78's are. I ended up replacing both doors and rear quarters. The bumpers were dissasembled and new steel welded in to replace the rust (I'm sure almost every II owner knows about this problem):

This is my King, haven't started restoring it yet...figured I'd practise on the Cobra first.  It's fairly rust free and won't need as much bodywork as the Cobra needed:

The '74 "vert", A true rust-bucket!  Not much left of it, but the previous owner did a pretty decent job of bracing up the car with a subframe before lifting it's lid. The doors still open and close with no sag!  The top itself was a mess of homemade rod and pipe and I have since removed it and tossed it out.  Not much progress on it yet, but I've started modifying a top mechanism from a Chrysler Lebaron.

My 78 "GT140 Project",  this is my first II that I bought back in '86. It's been a garage queen since 1991 when I started a complete rebuild/re-style. Eventually it will resemble a '64 Shelby Daytona Coupe crossed with a '67 Shelby GT500 and powered by a turbocharged 2.3 (thus my ID)  I haven't touched it much in the last few years as life and other IIs got in the way but Ihave started working on the new rear suspension this month (parallel 4-bar).  Haven't updated my webpage on it in years but here's a link: http://www3.telus.net/lucas-mustangs/GT140/ProjectGT140.htm

Welcome to the forum. It is nice to see more people over here. I used to be  II owner, and may own another some day. I like to stop in here to see if there are any new IIs in here, and it looks like you brought several with you.

Nice job on that 78. Looks good.

I would like to find a King Cobra T-top.

What does your Ghia look like?
