So, I'm sitting at home and my dad calls me from the car wash and says there is a guy up there who has a 2008 427R Roush. The car wash is only half a mile from my home so, of course, I'm out the door in 2 seconds flat. I get there and sure enough, there is a brand new 2008 red convertible. I got out and talked to the guy for a while. He said he just got it a few days ago and some guy off the street already offered to buy it from him. lol.Only 68 were made!!! How lucky am I to get to see one up close? He popped the hood for me and everything. I live right around Detroit, Michigan, so with the Woodward Dream Cruise coming up next weekend, this is when you start seeing all the cars come out.
Just thought I'd brag.

The #68 under the hood is what # car that one is. They made 100 '08 427Rs. The 427R is more of a race car than the street/race car the S3 was.The drag pack is a stripped down version made for 1/4 dancing.
I'd take a Roush over a Saleen anyday...but to each his own. I like owning something rare.

the only car they currently make that states limited production is the BlackJack, which they are making 100. I've seen quite a few 427Rs here in Oklahoma, so that guy may have a serialized car, but I don't think its limited, unless someone making that claim can post up proof otherwise...
Not to knock the roushes, I like them and have posted up pics of the blackjack a few times from shows I've been at. I just don't think the 427R is that rare. It is a simplified version of the Stage 3 for those that don't want all the body panels.
p.s. the trackpack is also limited run, but is a version of the larger production 427Rs. And that car is supposed to be stellar in the twisties.
