Hi everyone, I just recently signed up on the forums but have been reading through tons of posts and soaking in a lot of information. I just recently purchased a 2007 V6 Coupe. While I would love to have a GT, it did not make sense considering this is my daily driver and gas mileage was a main factor in going with the V6.
Alot of this is new to me, so please bear with my stupid questions
First regarding a t-lok. Would it be beneficial to get the t-lok if I intend to stick with the stock 3.31 gears? I don't really want to change the gears if I am going to lose gas mileage and have to worry about tired sizes.
Second, is it worth getting the mileage tune and/or the performance tune?
I have been browsing and reading for a week or so an I can already tell you my wife said you are all a bad influence and I haven't even done anything yet Working on getting a take-off GT and looking into dual exhaust with a take-off gt rear bumper. Nice meeting you all btw.

Welcome aboard!
Congrats on your V6. Mine is a daily driver too.

Yes! Yes! and did I say, Yes!
I kept the 3.31 gears as I do 90% highway driving.

I will be getting a tuner next year, as my warranty will be up anyway.

YES, it is worth it to get a mileage tune!!! Got an 87 mileage tune from VMPtuning(plus his intake special)and my highway mileage jumped from 24.5 mpg stock to 29.1 mpg(406 miles on 13.953 gals of gas)on a recent trip. Plus the 93 perf. tune is unbeleiveable. This is the way a Mustang should run! ThisIS the best thing you can do to your Mustang.

Congrats on the stang. Don't wait for the warrenty to be up, get the tune now. I would get a CAI/Tune combo. Duals don't offer any power gain over a single bolt on a NA car. You may want to look into a GT take off single muffler, only 70 bucks, sounds better and will free up some pony's.

The best at what? Best at selling tuners and intakes or the best at making you the quickest?
I say that Alternative Auto has the best tunes, but they cost more, so, you might get a better deal from someone else, but you won't be getting the most from your car.

Being my first mod and attempt at this, I was refering to best quality/reliability.
stangmods.com has FFRP tloks for $200, the discount code over there used to be HID so you might want to email them and ask if its changed, however if you plan on getting lots of power or running very sticky tiresid head over to drivetrainspecialists.com and get a detroit true trac
mpsautosalvage.com has used 3.73 gears for $50, you will loose 1 mpg of highway driving and stay the same in the city
you will need a motive bering kit as well, americanmuscle.com has em, and the discount code over there is "mustangboards"
a GT muffler will free some power up, an MRT exhaust will make it scream and sound awsome as well as free some power up
a set of under drive pullies will also free up a good amount of power as well as a few better MPG, just dont buy them if you ever planing on supercharging
