I know, this really bites. This will probably kill the trade-in value..

Get it to the dealer ASAP get that thing fixed dan!!! dont drive it anymore, I'd tow it there if I were you... from what you described you have a bearing problem it sounds like...if your lucky and didn't hurt the crank then you should be on your way in like 2 days but if you hurt the crank then they'll get ya a long block and you'll be out for like 4-6 days

I bet they would allow trade in for the value of the car (pretending their wasnt anything wrong with it), since they're gonna just fix it under warranty anyways.  I traded in a wrecked car in before, they appraised it as if it wasnt wrecked, subtracted my insurance deductable and had the insurance company send them the check.  Worked out easy and I didnt have to wait.

Heh. We will see..

I have a way of cutting the bulls**t with dealers and whatnot, as I'm in sales myself, I know how to cut through the garbage and talk business.

Hey they were asking 22k for my 02 GT originally, I got them down to 16,500 before I left to get a loan.

Oh I know I'll lose money. But I don't want the hassle...and nobody will want to buy it the way it is.

True, but you have to look at it from this point of view.

I'm 19 and will be selling a car with a bad motor, they will just instantly assume I beat the hell out of it, ya know?

I just don't think it would work..

I wouldn't worry about at this point you have nothing to lose. you show me a gt that hasn't been run hard..I look at it like this if they don't stand behind thier cars then don't worry about ever sitting behind the wheel of another one of ford's...I still say go for it.....
