the other night me and my buddy went for a ride downtown...just cruusing around cause there was nothing else to do and by our surprise we saw a eclipse in front of us...it was white and didnt have any emblems on the back(gs gts gsx) and it had the exhaust of course....so i followed him for allitle bit until we came to another light and went up along side of him and asked him if he wanted to go somewhere...he was by himself and had alittle cocky smile on his face, he said sure and was like follow me...as he pulled away i heard a blowoff valve for his turbo and was thinking what did i get myself into cause i dont get s**t on my stang except a mac cold air kit...i asked him if that was the gsx and he nodded and he f**kin asked me if mine was a 6 banger!!! my buddie goes "yeahhhh" and i laughed and said no its an 8...and we did 3 runs all together 1 run he missed 2nd....2 run I missed 2nd.....2 run we both had perfect runs....that car just took off off the line, it didnt take that long for me to catch him i think i passed him as i shifted into 3rd...i ended up with more than a car lenght on him so i was pretty happy and went to told my friends about it....that was actually my first race agaisnt an import well eexcept that svt focus but this eclipes put up a much better race then that thing....anyone else ever encounter one of these gsx's??i thought i would of gotten beat cause he said he had cams and an upgraded turbo plus that blowoff valve.....i dunno if he was bulls**tin of all the stuff he had but that thing was quick...im hungry. lata

The 2Gs have a Garret t25 turbo that spools up really fast, but looses all that is good in top end. Pre 99 4.6s are easy to take, but the 99+ have enough to do some dammage. I remember back in like 2000 I think it was, my daily driver got broken in to and was trashed. So, I found a 91 Talon TSi. That was smart. Anyway, with the basic mods that would have taken a 225hp stang didn't work so well with a 99+ I came across. Not to bash the almighty stang, but the 99+ are the only ones I have really liked. While it only took mods to make most of the 90s cars fast, I didn't care for the way they came from the factory. I took way to many stangs way to easy with such basic mods to a AWD 4g63. Sorry, I'm going from import to stangs, so I still have a lot of faith for the 4G63t engine. However, I'm lucky to have both worlds as I am keeping my current car and getting a stang as well. All I can say is the both are fun in different ways. gvr4ever37914.4472453704
