so within a couple of months i start my job at toyota or lexus as a technician, and i do not know what kind of car i should get.....i want it to be relaible and want to keep it under 24K.....i'm thinking of a 04 Mach 1....but then again i hear S2000's and 350Z are good to....maybe even an impreza....idk i just want somethign reliable that looks clean that i can get from a dealer that all it needs is to be lowered and wheels to make it look nice...
thanx for the feedback....PLEASE NO NEGATIVE I HATE RICE CARS...[:-]

If u r really looking into a new car u can find a termi for less than 24 k and about 30 k miles, look around. If inusrance payment is not an issue go for a termi u will be happy overall with the car ,those cars can b made fast very easy and are also reliable.

I'd see how well I fit in the job, then save up some money for a while, then when you have a nice chunk of change with extra money to spend, go and buy a new car.
A 350z would be OK. Kind of slow for the price tag, though. The S2000's are nice, but way to impractical. Plus, I think little roadsters like that are kinda for girls. And Subaru's are god awful ugly.

i cant believe he said "those cars can b made fast" lol....12 seconds in the 1/4 would b plenty fast enough for me if u live somewhere with good weather i would get a termi in a instant

you do realize you COULD find a terminator for at or under 24k pretty easily.

why if hes in good weather would buying a terminator be any different
and the legasy isnt bad looking at all and you can get the spec b version wich is pretty much a sti with a legasy body but with a nicer interior

I think you guys are talking about 2 different cars.
And yeah, I'm in SoFla and I can find some terminators as low as $18k with higher miles. The average is ~$24k.

I agree. No point in going and getting a new car before you're sure this is somewhere you're going to be for a while. But after that I say get a nice GT, then use the change to mod the hell out of it. Other than that I'd think of a G35 coupe....only problem is everyone seems to have one......but then again you can say the same for a mustang.....good luck with your purchase though, and keep us posted.

you can buy my car for 20k if you want. it doesn't look cosmettically different than a stock new edge, but it more than makes up for it in the power department. 2004 sonic blue GT. ~30k on the car, ~2k on the motor.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling the car? Almost nobody on the street can touch it. I wouldn't be able to sell something I put that much work into. JMO, though.

if you get a 350Z, don't get an 03 or an 04. They had major suspension problems, the tires cupped like a mofo.

Going from a V6 auto to a supercharged Cobra will get you killed pretty quickly. Your plan that's basically saying "Hey, I'm getting a new job, I'm gonna buy a really fast sports car!" isn't a huge show of maturity, either. So I say keep what you got for now.

i didnt say i was gonna get a sc'd cobra...i want to....but not likely....and how do u know i will die quickly...too bad i have driven faster cars fo months than a cobra....and im still here....if i do get a cobra its because i love that car......not just becuz i wanna be an idiot with it 24/7....so basically anyone who has ever gotten a "fast/sports car" is an idiot???? that dont make no sense.....

I think the big problem isn't that you would be making a HUGE upgrade in power, so much as you would be making a rather large investment on a brand new job you may not even last 2 weeks at. That's where the maturity part comes in. Me personally, I've spent money on crap that I didn't need, like for instance, just dropping 1k on my nitrous setup knowing that I was starting school next month....and now I'm gonna be short on books....We all do it, just some on a smaller scale than others, I'll still be able to get my books, just gotta work overtime this week at the job I've been at for 3 years. For you, you'd be spending what 20-30k on a car, and what happens if you get laid off, or are hurt and miss work for any amount of time? I'm not saying you shouldn't get a nice car, I'm just suggesting you wait a couple months to see how everything works out. And if you disregard everything I've said, I do hope you get a Cobra, those are sweet cars....although I see your name has Nismo in it, so you've got some good taste....why don't you just wait for the R36 to come stateside?

i think u put it best...i looked money for loans and **** and on a 26k car my payment will be liek 400 plus ins.
so iv'e decided to set my limit at like 12k....that way my payment will be under 300 and ins won't be killing me.....
well i know this is what i wanna do........AND I HAVE TO PARENTS ARE PAYING FOR SKOOL.....its a commitment for at least a year....
yeah maybe i will get a r36....idk i'm definetly gonna wait to get something nice....
