Unless you absolutely need them right now, I would wait and get what Slam is recommending...they are worth the wait, one of my buddies got those

the thing is... the car is daily driver... i bought it a week ago or so... didn't know the brakes are this bad... I don't want to mess up the disks... so for now i just want to get any of them from auto zone or one of those car places. Then i can order pretty much any of them... i need the car though and i'm afraid if i continue like this, i will not only be purchasing brake pads but the disc's as well...

So is there anything i can get for the time being in any of the local car places?

If you are still running the stock brakes on your 2000, you can pick up some top end pads from any local parts store. V6 and GT use the same brakes. Even most upgraded brakes will be something your local shop will carry pads for.

I personally run Hawk HPS on the street and HP at the track.

Are they 13" dual pistons? (sorry, not too familiar with the Saleen braking system - are they the part number 091-023? )

It's whatever comes on the Supercharged models... The calipers are black and biger then regular GT ones. Also it says Saleen on them... The disks look bigger as well are and cross slotted...  I think they are 14" with 4 piston calipers...

Almost positive the brake upgrade in 2000 were 13" rotors (they were in 2002).

Yeah they were...unless they been upgraded like mines to 14''...but anyways I went with baer pads..I wouldnt go and get cheap pads..your just gonna go thro them and waste money.. If u need to know how much time u have..put ur finger behind the caliper and feel the brake pad...

To answer your question, no...i need the # of your car to verify if it has the 13' brakes, but if there black and say Saleen in Yellow, than your car has the 13' brake upgrade, i dont belive autozone or a local parts store would carry a pad. Best pet would be to eaither call casey at haneymotorsport.com or mark at performanceautosport.com , i dont think this is something that can be found local.

this is what you have

Custom developed for each application utilizing Saleen"s championship race winning technology. Standard equipment on the S351 and optional equipment on S281s, this massive 4 piston caliper and 13" slotted rotor combine for unsurpassed braking performance. Includes calipars, rotors, pads and stainless steel DOT approved lines.

could be either, we need  car number would help, my bet is there brembos, and like i said above either casey at haney, or mark at pas can give you the part numbers for hawk. Also just to let you know my good friend is a Hawk dealer, and almost everyone pays around the same price for them so ording from those guys isnt gonna to break the bank, but im willing to bet even if you dont order from them they would be willing to give you the part number so you can find them localy.

Car number is 864. it's 2000 S281 SC

I spooke to both Casey and Mark. Casey didn't know if it's Alcon or Saleen and didn't have any in stock. He is checking on alcon pads though because Mark said that they are probably Alcon's. He has some Hawks i guess but he needs to order them etc...

I would just like to know the part number so i can check the pricing around different places before i purchase them. Someone must have it when they ordered them...

Thanks for your help... Let me know what do you think my car has as far as brake system.

Amel

I don't mean any disrespect Amel, but it doesn't sound like you're in any position to bargain shop if these are such an acute need.....
