gotta say. i feel slighted. i just sat down and read cover to cover. but as slighted as i'm feeling, i feel worse for j (mygt500), superdave, and to anyone else that i have forgotten. (sorry)
well they have his address where they sent the bumper.
i'd really love to see some updates and what the car is looking like now considering it's been several months.
overall it was a great read, sad that it ended up this way.

Wow after reading forever I woulda guessed it was a college kid who was scraping by, but not a 40 year old loser who has probably been milking welfare for quite some time now. He doesn't have money cause look at him, he's a mooch.....
Dude! That is way to harsh. Who are you to judge. Watch what you say too. You might find yourself being a 40 year old mooch on welfare. I am sorry but your post should be deleted
Kara maybe you should read the whole story instead of reading little bits of it, if you gave me 300 bucks and I dissapeared would you call me a mooch..... I would hope you would!
That is too funny! And yes he does mention the Mustang. Maybe someone with a Google account should add a comment to his last blog asking him why he has never returned to the forum.
Dont feel bad for me as I never donated any parts or money as superdave was the biggest contributor and all of us talked a few times when the donations were going on and we decided that everything was covered with the front end conversion (or was it the rear end). Regardless I never got around to donating to the cause and who knows maybe he kept in touch with Superdave and talked through PM's?....Car came along nicely and someone can PM him or email him if they want more pics and updates. Sometimes life gets so busy that you have no time for the forum (shocking I know as I love this forum and the members that are now friends) Would not have happened if that one day I was searching the web looking for advice and now I mod (not just the car) and I love it as well. So now that I am way off topic just though I would post again to this thread......Later all J

I gave him $30....but really....I was happy to see that we were able to help keep one alive. I have a 67 Chevelle that I restored, so I might have a different take on the issue???? IDK....I thought it was good reading, and well worth the money from the time he spent putting all the pictures up on the net.
Never in my life have I known this to be true, until now. I've been documenting the progress on my Mustang in one of the forum sites out there called Mustangforums.com simply enough. After a few posts, I had a number of individuals on there wanted to see more more more. And then after a few more updates, they just couldn't get enough. Now people are so intrigued with the car that they are offering their spare parts to me for free! And now they are donating cash to my PayPal account! How crazy is that? I don't even know these people and out of the pure goodness of their hearts, they are helping me get the funds and parts I need to finish the job, all so I will put up more pictures of the progress!!!! I always felt accepted from the beginning when I started blogging here and playing in the blogger games. Everyone was nice right from the start and was genuinely interested in my ideas like BuddyDank Radio and such. Bloggers are just down right pleasant people! But for a forum of car enthusiasts to start giving me parts and cash after my 10th post on the site? Now that's a little freaky and I love it! Mustang owners are a different breed. They are proud of their American built cars and all the others like theirs. It's a different kind of devotion that I'm not familiar with. Check it out for yourself here. http://www.mustangforums.com/m_3631793/tm.htm
Just thought you may want to know.....
Copied off his blog..

I lost touch with this thread alon g time ago but am I reading that people sent this guy their hard earned money? If that is so, why? Was he hurting for cash? He bought the car cheap and he was getting body help from a family member if I remember correctly. He asked me for some parts and I sent him a low price but thats all I offered and he never got back to me anyway. We, including myself should stop posting to this thread and let the bad memory, especially to good members, die out. Busy or not, out of courtesy one should chime in considering all the HELP he received from great people.
NeNCGT, not sure where you found that, but thanks for posting it.... Glad to know he appreciated it.
I always felt the guy was a little dirty, selfish, etc, and only posted to get money and parts. Yes, I thought his story was real, but that he had a motive for money more than anything.
I also was suspicous he stole the car.... Though having the old guy helping him out made it a little more legit.
Anyways, I'm more than likely wrong, and hes probably a great guy who just isn't a mustang enthusiast and just wanted a car cleaned up.

I read the entire thread yesterday and with the post(see mgreen03) that he had talked about the Mustang on his blog I desided to see if there maybe 2 sides to this. It took all of about 20 minute of reading sh#t to find that he did indeed post something about you guys that were at the time(see date at the top of what I copied over) of the post helping him. I too, thought he was a teenager that was getting help but it was not the case in the end as we now know. I did not read where he asked for help or any money but he did not disclose that it was not needed. That was a little on the gray side of being right. I have to tell you this as far as I can see you fellows that offered to help and did help have nothing to be sorry about. You did it to help what you thought was a fellow Mustanger or car lover and you did it freely. It's not so much who you helped but that you did, it goes around. You-all are first rate! Later...

Hey no matter what this dude ended up doing with the money or spare parts you gave him, it's awesome you guys were willing to donate to his project out of your pockets. That's really really cool.
I just found this thread again after forgetting about it. I also made a monetary donation, not because of the person, just because of the car and the idea. I can't say anything as to his intentions but I would do it again under the same circumstances.
