Default 67 1" front sway bar

i had installed a 1" front sway bar years ago and it was a tight fit next to front strut rod.
now after some 14 yrs of service, it seems the bar is constantly rubbing that strut.
has anybody had this problem? it has become more apparent now after i have just recently rebuilt the whole front end. i can only adjust it so much as it connects to the lower control arms.

is it possible these units will twist or become fatigued after all these years?

Those come with a lifetime guarantee usually, unless you've been competing heavily I'd say something else is wrong...
