How much $$$ did you pay for your Shelby??? 85K CDN. I can tell you that I have no regrets and neither will you. Money wasn't the deciding factor in my purchase. The GT500 was my dream car and I just went for it, screw the logic. I have to be logical 24 hours a days running my business. WTF if I can't have 5 minutes of stupidity!

Hey, since you paid 12k over sticker, i'm gonna throw you out a HUGE deal here, i'm taking a BIG loss, almost catastrophic for me, i'll trade you my car for your new GT 500 when i comes here. i'll just leave the offer on the table, you do what you like with it.....

Yes the GT500 is selling for over sticker but I guess if you have the extra cheese to make a mistake of paying 12k over sticker when people are now getting them for 7k over that is just retarded. I know first hand which is why I brought the 7k figure up...

Congrats ....

Today i was driving and a red gt500 was about 300 feet up. Im on the phone and my girlfriend asks whats wrong ? I said im pissed because a gt500 is in front of my and im jealous lol.

Then im driving by the dealership to go to dinner and they have a white one with blue stripes that ive been admiring for about a month. And two guys were outside looking at it . On my way back from dinner the guy was closing up the deal it looked like and the gt500 was moved and ready to leave it looked like.

But enjoy it!

Isn't that like saying you were only a little raped???

If you're ordering a GT500 there's no reason for them to put a markup on the car. Those are supposed to be to get the car up into market price territory. But an ordered car isn't going to the showroom!

I'm in Canada, and I know all about the raping that is happening with the GT500's. There are more then enough to meet demand here, and retail at $55K is reasonable, but 85K is out to lunch for me. 12K over = good deal right now in Canada.
I thought about the GT500, but even for 55K, I can put 22K into my GT, and have a faster, "better" car thats different then most other mustangs.

Enjoy though, as I hear the toque of that 5.4L is amazing!

Damn a lot of hate going to the GT500 owners in this thread. Serious jealousy rearing it's ugly head...lol

They are stopping production supposedly after next year for the GT500 so why would the prices go down? No one on the planet ever got ANY year ford GT supercar at msrp and yet no one ever never ever calls a GT supercar owner stupid.

I am a tightass and just can't bring myself to pay over sticker on anything. That's just me. It sucks cause I really want one and have been shopping them for awhile but I'm so stuck on my principle I won't budge...

However, 12K over sticker ESPECIALLY FOR THE LTD BLACK/RED is not a 'bad' deal and nowhere near as 'unreasonable' as some of you guys seem to think.

Because someone MAY have gotten one that had been sittin' around the stealership for awhile for 7k over certainly does not make that the 'norm' for the purchases.

The point is the car is worth what it's worth to YOU - the buyer/owner. If you are happy with what you pay for your toy, then you got a GREAT DEAL..period.

Im so sick of reading all the jealous posts and the 'I'd just put it into my GT and have a better car' crap. It's all a bunch of crap. I've got the price of a GT500 (and then some) in my car and sure it's faster than a GT500 but it's still NOT a GT500...lol - It's the same as back when guys were modding the crap out of thier GT's to compete with the terminators. Some made some great power and were bad as sin, but they still weren't terminators and never would be.

I'd trade mine for a GT500 in a second...

Congrats on a car you are sure to cherris and enjoy!!!

Put a Whipple 2.9 on the bad biaatch and you will have a low 10 sec DD!!!!
