Default 07 GT vs 04 STI

I was on the freeway going home and i see an sti next to me, He donshifts and floors it and had a pretty loud blow off vavle, I know he got the jump on me because he was half a car ahead when my auto kicked in so i los to him about 1 1/2 car length and i was on a low rpm, So i go next to him again at 5k rpm in 3rd and we floor it and i pull a little ahead and he just lets off. I know i cant win from launch but i realy dont think we can win off roll either. Those things are realllly light. What do you guys think was it just a bad race? Can we hang? Im still waiting for my diablo programmer i ordered couple of days ago, hope it comes soon and helps out a lot.

What are your mods?

From a dig they will rip any RWD V8 out of the hole. But after second gear, there is a chance you can make it back up.

How'd you know it was an 04?

The 3v's best chance against an STI is from a roll. I raced one in my auto 2v and lost by about 2 1/2 cars from 40 to 85. I think from a dig I could run pretty damn close with one, but who knows who would win.

Just a few hundred lbs lighter than the 3v's and they have just as much hp and they are AWD, so yeah, not much of a difference.

About 400 lbs lighter, AWD, and the same amount of HP.

But what were the OP's mods?

Since when is 3,100 pounds 'freaking heavy'??? C6 Z06's, Ferrari Enzo's, and Carrera GT's are 'freaking heavy'???

Oh, and to the OP: If your stock and auto, yeah an STi is still gonna take you from a roll.

Well from what I always knew...the Corvette was light (31xxlbs) and the Fbody was a tank/pig (34xxlbs)... so the threshold is somewhere between 3200 and 3300lbs... Go with it. LOL
