On Monday I start at a Dodge dealership washing cars and cleaning them inside and out. I've washed my car time and time again, but give me some tips that aren't always done that will really impress the boss. I'm not sure what we use there, but if its clay bar and wax, glaze, polish, I got that covered.
Has anyone else worked at a dealership washing cars?

make sure you clean the interior nice. like get the dust off of the air vents etc.
and at my last job i was told the most important thing is the windshield. thats the one thing the customer sees the most and its easy to tell if you missed a spot. so pay special attention to that.
After my first days its nothing special. We hit the dirty wheels with some acid, then wheel cleaner, scrub it with the brush. Then wash the wheels off and spray the car down, then use the brushes to wash the whole car. Get it all, then wash the soap off the car. Squeegee most of the water off, and then use a shamy to dry the rest of the car. We get the door jambs and all that crap, then do the windows and clean the interior with some orange clean stuff. Then vacuum the floors.
Most of the cars are new, so its really easy to make them clean. Oh, and for the record, white is a ****ty color. I have a white Mustang, and you see whatever the hell is on it. We washed a white Charger today and it had bugs all over, and you had to spray it down with an all purpose cleaner so it actually gets clean. No other cars needed the all purpose, but since its white its necessary. For those of you who have white you know what I'm talking about.

I was thinking the same thing. Some of what you described doesn't seem right, but I must say I'm not surprised. A dealership that has a large inventory is more concerned with speed than doing it properly I guess...
Correct everywhere you go its all about how much work you can do in a certain amount of time. For example where I work its important on how many cases each stock clerk can stock in an hour.
